How you obtain diamond tokens I don't know but there could be a variety of ways such as an election event, a "steal diamond" event, etc

> A 2020 Trump campaign legal adviser who begged for the Supreme Court to intervene in the presidential election over baseless claims of fraud, Dhillon’s track record indeed falls squarely on the side of conservative causes.

Though, yeah, upon the would-be impeachment of Yoon, the prime minister will take over the duties, until the would-be next election. Legally.

The check or check mark (American English), checkmark (Philippine English), tickmark (Indian English) or tick (Australian, New Zealand and British English) is a mark (✓, ✔, etc.) used in many countries, including the English-speaking world, to indicate the concept "yes" (e.g. "yes; this has been verified", "yes; that is the correct answer", "yes; this has been completed", or "yes; this [item or option] applies"). The x mark is also sometimes used for this purpose (most notably on election ballot papers, e.g. in the United Kingdom), but otherwise usually indicates "no", incorrectness, or failure...

Heck, and if Yoon is impeached, election for the next president will follow. I'm voting for 이준석 Lee Junseok.

The most surprising and anxious one was the French election with the far right being so close to power but finally with the left putting a stellar show.

@Mithical The election list? It takes time to organise elections.

@Cerberus The Sun may be down nmarket but it's good at catching the public mood (except in Liverpool) and fanning the flames. The Sun has no political loyalty; they guess the winner of the next election and support that party. With other papers, the reader must be aware of the political bias. Murdoch is anti-monarchy and that is reflected in his publications. Do you read British papers--why?

> Donald Trump posed for a photo and shook hands with a convicted far-right German politician, who allegedly appeared in professional pornographic films, at Mar-a-Lago on election day.

Phillipp-Anders Rau, 41, a Bundestag candidate for the populist Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party, was found guilty of stealing from a hotel in 2009 and was thrown out of university in 2015 for doctoring his high school transcripts, according to legal records.

@Cerberus I've looked into this, the "Sun" started it before the 1987 general election (Thatcher's last victory); it was taken up by the "Daily Mail" (the "Daily Fascist") & was even mentioned in "The Times"; yes, yer actual "TIMES" would you believe it?" "The Times" with its Oxford English & erudite ways. And you guys think I'm an extremist nut....I just have strongly-held views, don't you?

Q: What usually happens to a country's leadership when a dictator dies?

Miss UnderstandsI don't know how succession happened in Soviet Russia, but I remember a succession of leaders, and they all appeared to be by election — although those elections may have been rigged. Were they? My guess is that Putin does not arrange a successor because he knows his successor would kill him. He'...

@MartinSleziak has there been any poll to check the popularity of Ukrainian cause in the war? I know Fico is pro-Putin. But has there been any change in sentiment among the masses after the election?

Some amount of splintering is to be expected, but the election system in the US is punishing for smaller parties. I'm not counting on the Americans to change that system, though.

If you win, all is good, but if they win, it's election stolen. Republicans at their best 🤡

> The progressive strategist Don Ford was even more pointed in his criticism, writing, “WE LITERALLY JUST LOST WITH THIS STUPID ATTITUDE.”

Others called the group “delusional” and mocked the politicos for doling out advice, largely without introspection, on how to win a presidential election while still less than a month removed from, in fact, losing a presidential election.

@Cerberus The polling thing is on the net. Also, a petition has been compiled with 2M+ signatures, requesting another general election. After four months. One example: the new government demanded that car companies make so many electric cars, on pain of heavy fines. The companies complained that could not sell this many, the market isn't there yet. The result: Vauxhall have decided to close their Luton plant making 1100 people redundant.

> On December 13, 2016, Clements again tried to bring the council to vote to remove Browser, claiming “I’m a council member and I can put anything I want on the consent agenda”, but the motion did not pass.[11] This would be the last meeting attended by Councilman Clements as an elected official.[12] Clements was defeated in a landslide during his council re-election bid in 2016, and died on January 1, 2022.[13]

@Cerberus Recent polls (?) indicate that if the July election were re-run there would be a different result. What does that tell you? Some Americans may be questioning the mentality of the American electorate. Last Monday Adam used the term "insanity". Where do we go from there?

Q: Why is the SPD going with Scholz instead of Pistorius?

user182601Pistorius is much more popular than Scholz and indeed any other candidate (source): FT (2024-11-21): “To put it plainly, we have two possible candidates — one is the most popular politician in Germany, and the other is the least popular politician,” Maximilian Mumm, SPD mayor of the west German...

pulled the plug... ordered a new(er) MacPro... Might as well.. the US is going to be a chaotic civil war in the next few years. :) gotta love all the "it'll be close" election predictions... morons. I was fairly certain Harris would lose the moment she was announced. And I'm not for or against either party. They are both horrible in their own special ways.

@Cerberus Do you follow UK politics? Rishi Sunak--a man for all seasons--made manful attempts to clean up the mess inherited from his predecessors. Bright & highly competent, he returned the post-Truss economy to stability; reduced inflation from 11 to 2%; was about to tackle immigration when he called the election. I thought the electorate would have faith in Rishi's prodigious abilities; I bet 40-quid on him winning. Alas, the people were so sick of the Tories they just voted them out.

That being said, I haven't seen a lot of reviews claiming the movie was as off-base as the book (it is supposedly named after), and a lot of the actors involved released a public statement backing up the Bonhoffer Society's public statement against the recent use of the man's name by Christian Nationalists and other right-wing extremists in the US (related to the recent election)

It figures that the religious nuts would send me Russian propaganda. Hey, the election is over. So is America. Musk has already prepared you credulus peple for the fact that he knows very well they're going to destroy the economy. When it never recovers, they blame the Democrats somehow.
