Hey all. I'm sorry for disappearing on you and for taking bad care of TIO lately. I'll try to explain what's been happening, although it's not easy for me to talk about this...

@Dennis All the best wishes from all of us over here at CGCC! We hope your health is recovering, and all look forward to competing on some more problems together. Thanks for keeping up TIO in the meantime; that site is a real gift!

@Dennis, nobody I know - or would want to know - is going to be upset/annoyed/angry that you did what you needed to do to take care of Dennis first. That you can come in here and talk about it is one of the things I believe most psychologically-trained people would consider a good sign; in any case, you should do what you need to to "get your head" where you want it to be.

Just wanted to say that tryitonline is one of the best online tools ever created. Kudos to everyone who's worked on it.

@Dennis During your hiatus, a number of languages have been requested to be added/updated. I know how tricky it can be to keep track of all this, even when fully active, so I've compiled a list with all the requests I could find that haven't been addressed (sorted by most recent first)

@Dennis Given that it seems like you may be active/around, I just wanted to ask you how you're doing? I hope you know that we, as both a community and individually, care about you and your mental wellbeing, and I hope you feel comfortable sharing even the smallest of messages telling us (hopefully) that you're still getting better

Don't feel like you need to work on TIO if you just can't. If you work to maintain TIO end you end up hurting yourself mentally, that's the worst thing that can happen.

@Dennis I just wanted to let you know that I just used TIO to help a colleague of mine with a problem they were having. It reminded of how ridiculously useful of a tool I have found TIO to be, so I wanted to thank you. :)

Stack Exchange wants to reach out to you and they'd like to discuss potentially supporting TIO in some way, such as via funds or server space, etc., since it's so integral to CGCC. Random factoid of the day: most of TIO's "hacking" attempts that search for /phpmyadmin and the like fail way earlier than they'd have to, as the script kiddies forgot to deal with the 301 to https TIO sends in response.

feature request: when I type in a language "head" exactly (e.g. K), those languages are pushed to the front of the search queue. E.g., place K (Kona), K (ngn/k), and K (oK) before other languages

I'll pull language updates whenever I'm home, but everything else will have to wait.

My grandma just died. This fucking month.

Might just be missing it but a "Clear" or "Reset" button might be useful. Sometimes I get to TIO by clicking on someone else's TIO link and want to try my own code. Sometimes I'm even using a separate language and I legitimately just want to clear all the fields on the page. I realize I could alter the URL but a button would be nice.

@Nirvana Currently, in order to update a language on TIO, Dennis has to update the version of the language stored and used by TIO (slang term "pull"). As the owner/maintainer, only Dennis has the power to do so. From my understanding, Dennis was working on creating user accounts for TIO so that if you were registered as a language developer, you'd be able to "pull" your language by yourself without having to go through Dennis. I have no idea how far along that idea is though

@Dennis feature-request: In the CodeGolf permalink format, for languages with a SBCS make bytes a link to the codepage used.

By boldly appending a 64 to the link and hoping for the best.
