so if you notice a case like that, you can just leave a comment suggesting they can contact SE (or a mod, but we'll only escalate the request to SE) - maybe linking to this page

A: What is migration and how does it work?

Kyle CroninWhat is migration? Migration allows a question that isn't a good fit for the site it is posted on to be gracefully moved to another site in the Stack Exchange network where it would be a better fit. It preserves the current revision of the question, all its answers, any comments on any post, and ...

@technastic_tc seems a really low quality question. Deleted it. First rule of migration: do not migrate crap

@Kulfy No problem! Btw, I derived that comment from this comment text. If you wish, you can also use that text for such purposes.
Jul 26, 2020 16:43
@Kulfy Yes, that's what I do. But there are some things one cannot do with FIRE, such as leaving comments on posts' metasmoke entries by replying to SmokeDetector messages, reporting, scanning, and watching. Of course, one can go into Charcoal HQ to do these things.

solution: flip the monitor horizontally and proceed further

Do you want posts which are detected only for "experimental" reasons reported? Experimental reasons are ones which will tend to have a higher level of False Positives, but also are detections which catch less established spam/R/A patterns. On metasmoke (MS), we don't have a good way to search all such reasons at one time, only each one separately.

but, if you are interested, the Trello project we were doing is all about "fixing" unanswered questions. I would like to resume it. The reason we use Trello is to do a proper job, so that things get more useful and not just less unanswered

Congrats @Zanna :)

If the suggested edit is an improvement and there is nothing much else to improve, it's OK.

@EliahKagan I think it's a mistake to close questions based on something as flimsy as that, and I also think it encourages newcomers to think it's all a game and that what matters is that they use the right words, and thus to claim things that are not true out of the belief that doing so fulfills a bureaucratic requirement.

Like, for a lot of questions, the questioner asks "how do I do X with [$shell, $language, $tool]" where the shell/language/tool they specify is clearly not the right one. But there will both be people who need the literal answer and the "better way" answer.
