To be formal, no part of 51 (or 2.4) makes anything legal. 2.4, and other parts of the UN Charter make certain things illegal. 51 clarifies that no part of the UN Charter makes self defense illegal. Therefore no part of the UN Charter makes self defense illegal. Therefore 2.4 does not make self defense illegal.

I think arguing with you is getting rather uninteresting - particularly when you think the Houthis, a rebel group that seized the capital, might end up allying with the government of Yemen, who have been fighting them for years. I think it's pretty apparent you need to do some more reading about international relations

Article 51 states "Nothing in this charter...". It explicitly scopes the Article as an exception to the entire charter
