@MichaelNielsen ya, but i think saying that you need a Phase One to do some portraits for a company brochure is overkill

:200034 Sometimes it's an advantage to be able to vote to close without actually closing the question.

if you cant enjoy a well made meal of fresh ingredients, the fascinating curves and goosebumpy skin of a person, a handcrafted beer or wine that time tooks its gentle touch to form, or go outside and smell the season change in the air, you are a robot.

when you are starting out, you don't know enough about what you want to do to make the "right" decision and by the time you do, you'll know what the right decision is

Pocket PC was the best OS of all time... Now fight!

Mar 24, 2014 02:43
@PatoSáinz You have to go with what feels good to you, in the end. To be fair, either is a good choice.

i probably never go into an 'image editing' program 99% of my shots

its difficult to think that wider really doesn't mean you should be shooting more, but that you should be getting closer

@rfusca if felt as if millions of FF owners suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced

There's a lot of wildlife on Skye - eagles, otters and the like - but you can't guarantee wildlife, whereas mountains tend to stay put.

I guess it just would have been nice to let the community decide on that one if it was worth closing. I'd still argue that storage media is related enough to photography as the features of an SD card do impact how well it works in a camera. And we do have other questions about SD card speed

One of the best "general guidelines" I learned years ago was: Subtraction is the only math that matters in photography.

@MichaelNielsen yes, but how many other animals can find boobs on the internet?

I hate when people take photos of their meal instead of eating it, because there's nothing I love more than the sound of other people chewing.

It seems pretty likely that the issue here is that the OP is a) annoyed that someone took their photo without asking, or b) the OP likes the photo that someone took of them and wants to use it without having to pay for it. Maybe some photographer took photos of all the cars at the event and then approached the drivers to try to sell them? (That's a very common business model at sporting events, btw.)

My gut tells me it is a bad investment, though. I told him I think a photography course is a better investment. In fact, I asked him to join me in the online course I'm taking, but he seems more interested in watching endless reviews of the X-T2 on YouTube than watching the course videos with me.

So as one of the "Cadillac trim level" skinned sites in the Stack Exchange network, will we be losing our ability to display the Photo of the Week? meta.stackexchange.com/questions/307862/…

@aaaaaa I'm all for including images in answers when they are helpful to illustrate the answer. I don't think it is necessary or would even be advisable to require an example image in every case. Many questions can be very well answered without an image.

@Corey The heads just exploded at Yongnuo... "We've got three months to copy WHAT?!?!"

@nish1013 mattdm's answer seems pretty reasonable. 150 pounds isn't much to go on for a camera, no matter how you approach it

@nish1013 The native iOS Camera app has a basic exposure compensation. See this question and answer for more info: photo.stackexchange.com/questions/95452/…

@AJHenderson Yeah, Apple make great laptops, but I've decided that I won't buy another Mac. I disagree with the direction the company has gone in and can't ethically justify buying their products anymore...

If it were an answer, I'd vote it down. But instead it's stuck up there right under the question looking important.
