@drewbenn: But a much better idea is to take the picture about 20 minutes after sunset. You'll still have a night feeling, but the sky and landscape will be brighter.
@Shizam memory cards, bottle of water, 2nd body with 2nd biggest lens you own, spare batteries, waterproof stuff for the rain, hi vis jacket, lunch, etc
@rfusca What's crazy to me is that people don't take the time to really find the right photographer... It's an education problem that people think "all photographers are the same," really and the customer's not to blame... The photography industry needs to do a better job of spreading the message that "all photographers are not created equal," and that- just like when you hire a plumber- you should be thinking about hiring an expert to do an expert job...
Yep, you got it. The only reason someone might not want to go with the Tupperware version is if they're not too handy, or they don't want something 'DIY looking' on the end of their flash (generally more of a concern for pros where it's sometimes as important to look like a pro as be a pro)...
The opinion of the community as a whole is usually better than the opinion of a single user. That is reflected plenty of times on SO, when the OP quite often simply selects the first answer given as the "correct" answer, regardless of whether it actually is...the community vote power allows the community to "override" that with a far higher score on a better answer.
We're pretty international here, its usually quite an accident when more than a few of us end up on here at the same time. Scheduled events in the past like critque sessions have shown low attendance. Like Jay, I'd be pretty shocked if more than a few folks came.
it never ceases to amaze me...how a cat can seemingly shed enough fur each week to cover its entire body....and yet...never actually appear to lose any fur
