Hmm. In conversation, I usually use "Gaming Stack Exchange" or "Programmers Stack Exchange". The "the" feels awkward in there, cause Gaming is proper name in that context.
So either "the gaming Stack Exchange site" or "Gaming Stack Exchange", imho.
Step 1 for you @IvoFlipse / whoever is that some of the images didn't seem to transfer so well. The full image is there, but the images linked in the post contain the scaled dimensions as part of the url. Some work, but not all. So you'll want to go through the posts and if any images are broken, remove the dimensions from the url. (and make sure you aren't looking at cached images...)

as for the sidebar Ad for the blog.. i was thinking one that matches main site's theme... however i'm afraid it may blend in too well that people won't notice it.
