@Nate It sounds like you are proposing to get rid of all livestock? Personally I think that there is a place for every animal in the world, even the ones that are relatively inefficient like cows and pigs. However, as with all things the value is in moderation. I think it's ok to keep some cows, pigs, chicken etc, but don't try to keep hundreds or thousands of them just for eating or selling the meat.
