I'm curious how the Stormlight Archives will turn out, as Sanderson plans his world and magic systems pretty meticulously. I'm always a bit annoyed when I see that the author is just making things up as they go along

Anita Blake - LKH's vampire hunter books. VERY fluffy, full of random sex (by later in the series, the books end up being Anita HAVING SEX WITH EVERYONE with a bit of plot attached) - The Hollows are not that bad, but they tend to err on this side.
