7:00 PM
@GraceNote Yup.

@James [citation needed]

@James and there are a lot of marketing opportunities for us, with these tournaments

The amount of vitriol that gets spewed out in games is astounding.

@James Like now, go!

@pixel this is actually what I was planning on
something like this at least

7:00 PM
@Lauren I think it would be a good idea

every question or answer you post with a score of +10 gets you an entry into a raffle

how is it superior to communities around other games? TF2, Eve, etc. seem to have large, dedicated playerbases as well. Why target LoL and then target it repeatedly?

And heaven help you if you manage to pick someone else's preferred champion before they do.

@Lauren I completely get that and it gets our name out there and such. But is it a new market that we are reaching or one that is already aware of us??

@agent86 this is only the second time we are running a marketing campaign targeted towards LoL

7:02 PM
Honestly we are just not a good site for LoL because we do not promote Guides.. A person would have to read like 12 questions on one champion to get the information they need.. So they go to the guide sites instead..

and the only way to get a community to remember you is to market towards them repeatedly

@Lauren yeah, but I guess I'm saying "I don't see the ROI on the first one."

think about it, do you remember a site or a product you've seen advertised once?
no, you remember things you see advertised all the time

Depends on how good the advertisement is. :)

@Lauren Only if I liked it.. But I hate advertising and actively avoid it most of the time :)
The majority of the LoL questions are 'How do I tank with character XYZ'
To which we respond with 'Closed as too open of a question or a question that promotes discussion'

7:03 PM
We should try and get game developers to use us as their official FAQ, like what AskUbuntu has.

@Lauren The biggest problem I have is that marketing to LoL players is like trying to herd tasmanian devils that try to bite off your hand every time you try to help.

@GnomeSlicE I misread you question earlier. What I did was select is side of the coin and assigned a Material ID to each one (which allows for easy re-selection), then used select poly to make a uv map of that side only. The used a multi/sub-object material to texture the object based on the material ID. I hope that clears things up.

@agent86 right, like I said, it's hard to expect people to come to remember you from one marketing campaign

In all honesty I remembered this site because of the Identify-This-Game tag hehe.

it's the same reason why people get sponsor booths at conventions that target the same group of people

7:05 PM
@Lauren What is our worth as a site to LoL players so they stay here?

they want those people to recognize them, and use their site/product/service, whatever

They're not interested in constructive feedback. Their goal is to win, and any obstacles in the path, (such as "Hey, I don't know what you're trying to say here. Can you clarify it better?") results in "Shut up noob".

We can get them to come here, why would they stay?

@James why does anyone stay? Theoretically it's because we give awesome information
right?

@Lauren Not for LOL

7:06 PM
we want them to have a good experience the first time they use our site, and find value in it

@Lauren yeah, but most of the "customers" we attracted were pretty much universally viewed as low quality. I'm not sure many of the people we got to the site I'd want to remember us, and they ended up having a bad experience due to the fact that we closed and downvoted so many of their questions.

Does anyone who plays LoL and is in here use our site to get information on the champions to play them???
I know the information on here is only marginally useful to me because I am looking for guides of how to play an AP build on champion XYZ that looks neat.

@agent86 our site has a very steep learning curve, do you think most people come here as model users the first time they ask a question?

I actually do study and skim through our content now and then for any tips on the ones I use.

generally it takes a while to learn how to user our site
once you learn, you produce better content

7:07 PM
@Lauren LoL players aren't interested in learning. They are only interested in winning.

@fbueckert The ones who aren't stupid will realize you win more when you learn stuff.

@Lauren The stuff I saw tended to be below what I'd even consider to be "first-time-user" quality

@StrixVaria And that makes up, what? 0.1% of the playerbase?

@StrixVaria Those 5 are already on the site!

@fbueckert and if you learn tips and tricks by using our site... you win more right?

7:09 PM
Ok I guess my stance of we do not provide information in a format that is useful to that game's makeup is of less interest than the maturity level of the average LoL player and if we want to deal with them :D

@Lauren The tips and tricks they will learn is going to either come from established users (and the question has already been asked), or from one of us editing their post into legibility.

I think it's important to understand a few things here
(1) repeat marketing is more effective than a series of one-offs

@spugsley That's for you.

that is, we can't expect to become known as "the gaming Q&A" if we only market/sponsor/do a promo one time to each different community
(2) external marketing campaigns are going to (well hopefully at least) attract new users, who don't inherently know how to use the site
so, the question is, would we rather deal with those new users, or not grow as fast?

7:11 PM
@Lauren I have no issue with new users.

if LoL is an inherently bad community to market to, then we can consider that in th efuture

I'm not a fan of them, as most here know, due to the low quality we get from them.

I wasn't aware that there was something about that community as a whole that made them less friendly or sportsmanlike

That's the unfortunate problem: the LoL community is rabid and hostile.

FAE
@Lauren Yeah, it's... a problem, unfortunately. :/

7:12 PM
@Lauren LoL is considered one of the worst communities in the gaming world.

if the evidence for "LoL players product low quality" is just the last contest, then I think we need to keep an open mind

In fact many people don't play LoL just for that reason.

seeing as it could have been a number of other things (contest format, just being new users, etc)

in Summoner's Rift, Feb 13 at 1:37, by Tristan
Sounds like LoL. Excellent game, horrible community.

@Wipqozn I don't for exactly that reason.

7:13 PM
oh gawd, the pings, they're so loud they burn my ears.

ok, well if that's the case then that's unfortunate, and I'm sorry

Here's my take. While the LoL community may not be the best fit for the format of our site, how many of them play other games? They are still gamers, after all. And it may just be that, while we do poorly with LoL questions, these gamers will discover that we are a good resource for <pick a game that we do well at>

ggChronicle reached out to us for this, and I saw it as a good marketing opportunity

But, as was mentioned earlier: it's hard to track that sort of user data.

@Lauren We'll deal with it; we don't have much choice at this point. If this is what it takes to determine that LoL promotions don't work, then so be it.

7:14 PM
@RESPAWN yes, a very good point as well

@fbueckert I think it's more Jekyll and Hyde. Sometimes the community is good, at other times it remind me of CoD community...

we want gamers to know us as the best Q&A for all games
and there is invariably some overlap

My take is that unless we want to completely ostracize that community and outright avoid working with them, turning them down when they came to us on a return request to work together again is short-sighted and poor from a marketing standpoint
4

@GraceNote +1

@GraceNote This.

7:15 PM
I will say that, while the LoL questions seem fairly lacking, we do get some decent answers from the ggChronicle users.

@agent86 Didn't you compile some user retention stats about the last contest?

@Fluttershy Yes, we do.

FAE
@GraceNote I do agree with this. I was unaware that ggChronicle was the initiating party in this case.

we can of course decide not to work with them, but it's always good to establish good will and good working relationships with related communities

FAE
We have 120 closed questions in the tag and the majority of them are from the last contest, which is also something to keep in mind.

7:16 PM
It's just a problem of volume and ratio. We had very high volume with other contests, like Skyrim and Diablo 3, but amount of low quality posts wasn't nearly as high. So we just had a lot of trouble dealing with it.

@FAE yes, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding there. They reached out to us

@fbueckert Even then, it would only be registered user retention. There's still that nebulous area of users who simply use our site as a resource but haven't yet, for some reason or another, decided to participate. :)

@RESPAWN Well, you can do some futzing with Last seen on dates for unregistered users.

@RESPAWN which is the majority of people lol

@fbueckert Indeed. I just don't know if anybody's crunched those numbers yet.

7:18 PM
anyway, I'm not saying we need to focus all our attention on getting the LoL community using our site

We did get quite a few good users from the last contest, which does make it worth in in the end imo. We just need more people to be able to keep up with the high volume of crap content.

but a good opportunity arose, so I decided to take it.

@Lauren I'm not a fan of LoL at all, as you can tell. I'm willing to give it a go, though, and hope we get better quality this time around.
Experience shows that it's going to be a nightmare, though.

at this point, we need to decide whether we want to leave it as an entirely external marketing campaign, solely for brand recognition
or try to draw them to our site by running a contest during the tournament

@Lauren Have you guys tried to do something similiar with any other communities?

FAE
7:19 PM
@Wipqozn I just don't know how our community's going to react to getting like... 100 close-worthy questions in one weekend again...

@Lauren I want to combine those two lines into one line so I can star it...

in my opinion, I'd like to capitalize on the opportunity by running a contest
but I of course don't want to overwhelm our moderators or top users with a lot of hard-to-moderate content

@Lauren If we run a contest, I can almost guarantee that we will have new users who's only goal is to win the contest, and will whine and moan when they don't.

@FAE More mods is the only thing I could think of. Temporary if this is just going to be an occasional thing, but permanent if we plan to do this on a regular basis.

Entirely understandable

7:20 PM
so, I'm wondering if there's a way to construct the contest so as to filter out a lot of the crap
@fbueckert of course there will be, there are always whiners with any contest

FAE
@Wipqozn @EbonDreamer and @Grace are the only ones who play LoL

@Lauren Requiring good quality content is a good start.

@FAE So what you're saying is we should force all the other mods to play LoL? Sounds good! :P

@FAE You and Zam and Fluttershy all stopped?

FAE
@GraceNote Mods, I mean.

7:21 PM
Oh, oh, gotcha

@fbueckert absolutely, so maybe only make questions/answers that qualify for the "Nice Question" badge eligible
for prizes

@Lauren I foresee users spamming their answers to get the required upvotes.
And then screaming if someone downvotes it.

@FAE: That is another problem though. A lot of us don't play LoL. I don't, so I personally have a lot of trouble going through the content. Some stuff is obvious ("ur quetison is stuipd 1oser"), but other stuff not so much.

@Lauren and require Analytical

@Lauren This is getting slightly off topic from LoL, but if this is the sort of thing that SE is looking to do more of in the future, perhaps the current community can help identify external gaming communities that might see more benefit from a site such as ours?

7:22 PM
@agent86 There are some parts of the EVE player base you probably don't want here (= goons). They might just try to mess up the site just for the fun of it

@FAE the tournament organizer is a user here too, perhaps we could ask him to help monitor LoL questions during the contest, although I don't know how much time he will have

24 mins ago, by Ronan Forman
New rule! In order to win any contest you must have the Analytical badge.

@RESPAWN absolutely, any time you have an idea for a good partnership please let me know

@RonanForman I was reiterating for emphasis

FAE
@Wipqozn Yeah, that's what I mean. Because of the jargon and vocabulary used, there's a limited number of users who can actually comprehend the questions/answers and determine whether they're of decent quality or not.

7:23 PM
@RonanForman That doesn't mean they read it.

@RESPAWN It would not hurt that if you are part of another community that you do not fear would greatly ruin the site if it set foot in here, that you pitch the idea to them.

@RonanForman this is an interesting thought

@RonanForman and I was too lazy to search for your comment

Open FAQ > Click table of contest > Close

I've put forth my data, and whatever you guys do regarding LoL I pretty much sit out since I don't know the lingo and I don't play the game.

7:23 PM
my worry with that is that we might not get any participation then...

I can always close the browser tab and go play something else for a weekend :)

@Wipqozn well, don't tell them that that's how to get it

@MadScientist This. Plus, many EVE questions can often become "well... you'll have to do more research on your own, but here's a start"

@murgatroid99 I'm sure they'll figure it out.

@MadScientist I know very little about Eve, I was just suggesting other games which have an established playerbase. You could substitute whichever game you prefer here.

7:24 PM
@Wipqozn Well, it can't hurt and it at least makes them look at the FAQ

Not to be a negative goosy mcgee or anything, but I just don't think that would solve any problems.
@murgatroid99 Oh,I agree. I just don't <SEE ABOVE POST>

@RonanForman I'd be much more enthusiastic about this if our FAQ were shorter and more to the point
i.e. was a better outline of how to use the site
it's kind of hard to get the important points from it right now, TL;DR and all

Okay, suggestion on a FAQ. Change it to the following: Don't make crappy posts.
@Lauren Yeah, we've touched on this before.

I think a new FAQ would be a good idea.

I believe it was brought up in our "New User Experience Meta"

7:27 PM
@Wipqozn Maybe just put a short summary in the contest post of what to do to get upvotes

@Lauren I like the idea of losing an entry if they have downvoted or closed questions.

@agent86 I'm more worried about the fact that EVE is one of those games where it's often hard to give a 100% concrete answer. There are a lot of variables that go into those space spreadsheets don't-ya-know

@murgatroid99 this is definitely a good idea

@fbueckert Other than duplicate.

It would require due diligence to ensure you don't lose an entry.

FAE
7:27 PM
@fbueckert I just foresee people going around downvoting other users' stuff then though...

@RESPAWN I'm sure you could say this about any game with an established community - "there are unsavory types that play it." "it's got some complicated elements"

@FAE we could require a minimum # of reputation on the site to be eligible as well
so you don't downvote too much

@FAE Users needs 125 rep to down vote remember.

@FAE Most of these are going to be new users that a) can't downvote, or b) lose enough rep through downvoting to either get it reverted, or c) lose their ability to downvote by dropping below the threshold.

@Lauren But that's kind of a weird way of bringing new users to the site

FAE
7:28 PM
@Wipqozn True

@RonanForman No. Duplicates should especially be penalized.
That's one of the main problems.

@FAE Can always keep an eye out for abuse

@murgatroid99 fair enough. I'd guess that the minimum 125 to downvote would prevent a lot of that random downvoting too

Does mass down voting other posts show up in the serial voting tracker?

@fbueckert No. If duplicate searching on these sites were actually good, I would agree
@Wipqozn I'm pretty sure it's only if you target one user

7:29 PM
I know you guys don't reveal such details and all that, but if it tracks any mass voting (not just on one user), that would help negate the problem as well.

Just so you know, our current FAQ is twelve and a half pages long.

@RonanForman Wait, seriously?

@RonanForman which is why I think requiring the analytical badge probs isn't a good idea

I thought it was a few pages at most.

user2334
@RonanForman At what, 48 point font? It's 3 pages here

7:31 PM
@MarkTrapp Have you expanded everything?

@RonanForman the pictures are weirdly big on that doc

One aspect in general is that we do better for new games not only due to their popularity, but also because we don't compete with sites that had years to build a player base and content

here's the solution I propose: (1) I write a concise summary of what's on-topic within the contest post, and include tips to get upvotes (2) only questions/answers that get the "nice question" or "nice answer" badges are eligible - that is, they must have a score of 10 or more (3) you get an entry into the raffle for each eligible question (4) you lose an entry for each post that gets closed or ends the contest with a negative score

Q: ATI Videocard - Large triangles missing randomly from the textures

ShikiI don't know what might cause this kind of error. I've just tried to play Call of Duty MW3, and there were large "triangle shapes" missing from the textures. Weapons, maps, people, guns. Everything. In the game called "TERA" I get the very same problem, but that game is bugged with lower-end c...

@murgatroid99 I don't think they take up 8 pages though.

7:32 PM
@Lauren I like this idea.

and if anyone has specific things they want me to include in the contest post (maybe tips to get upvotes?) feel free to shoot me an email so I can include them

I think we need a new FAQ.

@RonanForman I just meant that it's probably not quite 12 pages

@Lauren I'm envisioning some sockpuppeting going on to game this.

@fbueckert we can detect that

7:33 PM
@fbueckert we have tools to detect that

@Lauren: Are we going to have a ggClassic specific contest as well? BEcause the only problem I see with that is it would heavily favour regular users, since we're more likely to post quality posts / not get closed questions.

@Wipqozn well, that's up for debate
should we have two separate prize pools?

user2334
@RonanForman Oh pshaw, expanding everything is for squares. 10 pages here though if you do

@MarkTrapp That's still far too big.

@Wipqozn Yeah, we DO have a bit of an advantage, having put our time into the site already.

7:34 PM
I was thinking no, since we want to rely on existing users to monitor content

@Wipqozn maybe making people compete with regular users will make them learn to post good questions

@Lauren I don't think you should penalize a user for their first closed post, but any subsequent closed posts should count against them.

however, we could do a pseudo-random drawing to ensure that half the prizes go to ggChronicle people

user2334
@RonanForman Compared to what? SE is complicated.

@MarkTrapp Not that complicated.

user2334
7:35 PM
@RonanForman Then what would you remove?

@Lauren well, that's the same as just splitting them, isn't it?

@MarkTrapp Nothing, just make what is there shorter.

@QAzer this could be a good idea

user2334
@RonanForman …which requires removing things. Unless you're suggesting it be in 6pt font

@MarkTrapp I meant don't remove any sections.

7:36 PM
@Lauren would we count deleted content that is closed or downvoted?

@murgatroid99 as a strike against you?

@Lauren: I think weighing duplicates differently is also a good idea. Some duplicates are just due to users not bothering to search yes, but other times it's because the question it's a duplicate of just has a terrible title.

@murgatroid99 This'd be my perspective on the prospect

maybe not, if you deleted it yourself

user2334
@RonanForman I'm asking what you would remove, not what you wouldn't.

7:37 PM
@Wipqozn This would take a LOT of manual effort.

@fbueckert yeah, unfortunately

@Lauren right. We want people to delete their own bad content, but that can be abused to just delete everything that turns out to get a bad reception

@Lauren Unless you gave us a special close vote option. :P

@fbueckert @Lauren: I was just thinking that it takes two duplicate closes to get an entry removed.

@murgatroid99 As we had a user do yesterday to shed downvotes.

7:39 PM
I think it would be easiest to treat all closed questions the same
if someone asks a duplicate question that is in fact better than the original, shouldn't we close the original instead?

user2334
Yes

we want the best content right?

@Lauren Doing so is a good idea, I think.
It may give the news users pause and make them do some research.

right

@fbueckert my point is that we don't completely dislike this: we even have a badge for deleting own bad content, but it's abusable in a contest like this

user2334
7:40 PM
If you're going to penalize people for deleting content, it should only be if the community or a moderator deletes it. Users deleting bad content on their own is working as intended, and we even have a badge for that

and you know, if it doesn't work out so well this time, we can tweak the rules next time so as not to penalize duplicates

@Lauren Sounds fair.

@Lauren I see copycatting going on, then; user1 asks a questions that turns out to be pretty good. User2 see it, asks the same question, only slightly better. We close the first question. User1 posts ANOTHER question with the same thing, only slightly better than user2's. Repeat cycle endlessly.

@fbueckert I think @Lauren just means drastically better.

@fbueckert Well, yeah. There will always be ways to get around the rules of any contest. but I think this is taking gaming the system to a little bit of an extreme. If most LoL users are as lazy and apathetic about quality content as people seem to think, they certainly won't go to as much trouble as your describing here.

7:41 PM
alright, I'll work on drafting the contest post today, and drop a link in here. The tournament doesn't start until Friday, so once I write the contest you will all have a chance to give me feedback

user2334
@fbueckert The Q&A pair has to be better, not just the question. If people answered the original completely, the new ones don't matter.

@MarkTrapp A deliberate duplicate question should be burned with fire.

@fbueckert I think that would require that the users read the FAQ, understand duplicates, what makes a better post, etc in order to figure that out
we won't put in the contest post that "duplicate questions that are better than the original will be left open"

@Lauren Ok. I'm giving LoL players too much credit. :P

Also, if a user does that repeatably it's going to stand out. So we can take action if we need to.

7:43 PM
all people will see is that duplicate questions will be closed
we won't purposely make it easy for them to game :)

I'm probably going to regret this, but I'll un-ignore LoL for the contest. Hopefully we can keep up with what we get.

user2334
@fbueckert Sure, I'm not arguing that it shouldn't. Reverse duplicates generally only happen when the first question gets asked and goes unloved, then someone else asks it and the gods smile upon the question and gets answers. It'd be silly to dupe the newer question that has answers to the older one that doesn't

@MarkTrapp Isn't our process for duplicates in this case to offer a bounty?

@fbueckert yeah, I might do that too. We need people to watch the new questions

user2334
@fbueckert Sure, but duplicates still happen.

user2334

Jeff Atwood on November 15, 2010

As Stack Overflow grows — or any other Q&A site in the Stack Exchange network, really — there’s a natural pressure to discover and link duplicate questions. The more questions you have, the higher the possibility a given new question isn’t in fact a new question, but a duplicate of an older existing question. Because of this, we’ve continually enhanced the tools for finding, linking, and merging duplicate questions:

Handling Duplicate Questions Linking Duplicate Questions Improved Question Merging …

user2334
If someone is intentionally re-asking a question, then it dies, but that's irrespective of the reverse duplicate issue

I reserve the right to burn any answers that are just Youtube links! :P

@fbueckert or any answer at all that's just a link

@MarkTrapp If we're fast enough, we should be closing it as a dupe BEFORE it gets a good answer, thereby bypassing reverse duplicate issues entirely.
@murgatroid99 I specifically mentioned Youtube videos due to my meta post about them .:P

user2334
@fbueckert If we're fast enough, we could go to Mars for lunch. But when it happens, closing a newer question—that has better answers—to an older one that doesn't just because it was asked second would be asinine
2

7:48 PM
@MarkTrapp I agree with that.

@MarkTrapp +1
also, I want to make sure we don't go on a witch-hunt for duplicates
it's an important concern but sometmies questions are similar, but the answers have different info, or are asked in different ways and emphasize different things or whatever
just a thought
you all know better about that than I do, though

@MarkTrapp After all, our goal is to have answers. Not to blindly follow policy

@GraceNote well said

user2334
@GraceNote I intend to blindly follow the policy to not blindly follow policy so hard
2

haha ok, I will hold you to that
anyway, I gotta run, but I will draft a contest post on meta for whoever is interested to look at
and post a link in here
thanks for all the help everyone!

7:56 PM
@Lauren I think it wasn't help so much as, "NOOOOOOO! Not LoL!" :P

@fbueckert haha yeah at first, but the reasons for that reaction are valid and helpful

@Lauren I'll do my part, anyways. Who knows; I might actually win something!

:-)

Here's an idea: get some established and willing users to form regular teams with over the weekend.
Meta post incoming on that very topic!

8:10 PM
@RonanForman, If there is still room, I'd like to be part of that Minecraft tourny you were talking about. Do I sign up myself, or is someone creating a "team" signup?

@RedRiderX We need to each sign up, but we only have 5 at the moment.
@murgatroid99 Want to play?

@RonanForman So I sign up, and list you all as preferred partners?

@RonanForman no thanks

@RedRiderX Yes, when we have number 6.

@RonanForman Oh, I'll wait then.

8:12 PM
@RedRiderX The teammates need to be mutual for it to count.

@RonanForman We all need to want to play with each other for it to count as a team?

@RedRiderX Aye.

awwww cute parents

Q: How do Steam Workshop mods and Nexus mods interact?

wraith808All of my mods so far are on the Steam Workshop, but there are a few on Nexus that look to be quite useful. My question before I dive in is are there any potential problems that I need to be aware of mixing and matching mods from different sources? And if I use Nexus Mod Manager to manage the m...

Q: Only 970 Condemned Achievements

SocioMattI just finished playing through the first Condemned game on 360 and was hoping to go back and max out the achievements. I noticed that for some reason it only has 970 total points rather than the normal 1000 for games released on a disk. What is the reason for this? Was this before Microsoft had ...

So... Who was it that linked that OUYA kickstarter yesterday?

@Fluttershy It wasn't me, but I find it fascinating.

@AshleyNunn Well... It's successfully funded now.

@AshleyNunn Haha
We are just talking about it right now

@Fluttershy Sterno, I think

$3,300,709
PLEDGED OF $950,000 GOAL

We expect it to be a complete flop by this time next year :)
They have 3.7m currently @Fluttershy

user15026
I like the idea of it, but I am so hesitant to back Kickstarters

@James That's the most recent total on the Kickstarter page... The 3.3m

user15026
I want to see it in action, as it were, before I jump on

Hmm yeah they dont.. oddness!

8:36 PM
Did you see that Jetpack 2 is taking the Kickstarter route for funding?

user15026
I personally want to wait and see if it is more than just, essentially, my phone but on my TV.

user15026
@RedRiderX Jetpack 2?

@AshleyNunn Have you heard of Jetpack?

user15026
@RedRiderX Like the really old DOS game?

user15026
:Not to be confused with the 1983 video game Jetpac. Jetpack is a platform game currently available as freeware, originally published as shareware by Software Creations in 1993. The object of the levels is to collect all of the green emeralds scattered around the level while avoiding obstacles and enemies. Once accomplished, a door opens which the player must go through in order to advance to the next level. There is a single player, and a local multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode supports up to eight players, where players take turns on the same machine. The player is aided in his que...

@AshleyNunn Yep, at the end of that game, it says: "Stay tuned for Jetpack 2, coming 2000!"

user15026
Okay, well, not -really- old.

user15026
@RedRiderX Seriously? I never got that far XD

Anyway, life happened to the developer (Sad story actually) so now in 2012 he's at the point where he wants to go full time with development.
There's a current demo somewhere...

user15026
Nifty.

@AshleyNunn Kairospot has a really good guide (they have a complete compatibility list, too) to Sushi Spinnery. They require you to register, but they have a lot of great quality guides to Kairosoft games.

user15026
8:42 PM
@QAzer I like Kairospot. I figured they would have a guide (they often do). :D

8:53 PM
@AshleyNunn have you played eShop Art of Balance TOUCH for the 3DS? it's quite good. Came out last month I think.

user15026
@QAzer I haven't, no - Been playing Theatrhythm and Rhythm Thief

user15026
What sort of game is it?

@QAzer Those are the people who did Game Dev Story?
@AshleyNunn Oh! How is Theatrhythm??

user15026
@James Kairosoft is the company, Kairospot is like a blog thing related to it, but not by them

I normally love Final Fantasy games, but I am not a huge fan of the kingdom hearts crossover so I am a little wary of that game.

user15026
8:55 PM
@James Pretty fun, actually.

user15026
It's a rhythm game, and thus is kinda...repetitive. I still find it fun because I like the music, but if you want like a true FF experience, it is not for you.

Q: Arqade League of Legends group

fbueckertProblem As many of us know, we will be hosting another League of Legends contest/sponsorship this weekend. Many of our users have tried LoL, and almost invariably, we have found the community extremely hostile and rabid, and subsequently no longer play. This has left our site lacking expertise...

Q: The Secret World Combat Table

pixelIn comparison to other games the combat table in the Secret World seems to differ in many ways. So far it appears to be built up of the following possible outcomes to each attack: Evade (miss) Block Glancing Hit Critical Hit Penetrative Hit However, I've also seen instances of multiple of the...

@AshleyNunn I will add it to the MayBe list then.. as I am still trying to get around to playing a stack of games I bought back in 2010 !!

user15026
@James Haha yeah I know how that goes. Xd I have so many things to finish
