"Why" would be a question for a sociology or philosophy site, and I'm not sure whether we have those on SE. Or you could just ask your parents, or other close family or friends. I wouldn't suggest Googling the subject.

@Iszi
1. To be honest, i have no clue. I have **never** watched such material and i don't know how it plays out. For the sake, of ease, lets say "the whole body".

2. Hmm, no more than two years as i suggested that it was shot at 15 and release much later on when it would be legal.

3. Not necessarily. It was just a random age. The subject could be any age (as is heard of on reports)
@Iszi I asked a close friend. She couldn't find anything wrong with it, other than that it might be too specific as, not everyone is used to discussing such sensitive topics. Though, she did say that she didn't believe people should feel as if it was provocative or suggestive in any way.

Okay, so for #1, let's guess they have a pretty good view of any external parts of the body from about 3-6 feet away. And, since we've already figured out that teeth might be important, we might want to specify that they may have a shot at a wide-open mouth from about the same range.

#2 - Here's the thing. If you *actually* are trying to keep this to a "usable for child porn cases" context - without really having to bring that up - you'd have to at least narrow the age down to within a year.

#3 - You could just generalize it to the entire age range that would be in-scope of such an invest
Thing is, discussions of various aspects of certain topics don't need to be controversial. But you need to be aware that controversy can be generated by simply stating the topic you're looking to discuss. If you can abstract the discussion to something that still covers what you need, without actually specifying what you're talking about, then it serves in everyone's interest for you to do so.
For that matter, most any discussion of any topic can be had without controversy. But that generally requires a very specific audience which is known to be accepting of such subject matter in their discussions. This is obviously not one of those.

@Iszi See, this is much more beneficial ;)

Are you able to suggest an edit? I feel as if you will be able to construct/present the ideas we discussed much better than i would be able to. Especially as, you are a more experienced user and most likely will be able to keep it within safe boundaries. Does that sound alright?

I'll see what I can do. I'm running a bit short on time. But please be keenly aware that if you continue to offend the users around here, and require people to edit your questions/answers/comments for you in order for them to be non-objectionable, there are likely to be substantially negative repercussions in the end.

@Iszi I agree. I'll keep that in mind for future matters. Thank you. :)
@Iszi No problem. Whenever suits you best.

@user19679 Actually, it seems I cannot edit the question as it was locked to prevent reversion of the moderator's edits. This greatly restricts who can edit the question, and disables posting of additional comments/answers. If you would like the question edited, and made available for answering again, you'll have to talk to @Chris or another moderator.
And, unfortunately, I do have other things I need to be off doing. Perhaps whomever unlocks the question for you (if it does happen) will be willing to review the log and make an appropriate edit.

@Iszi Damn.

@Chris ; @MadScientist - can you do something about this?
@Iszi Ahh, Ok. Well, thank you for all of your suggestions!

Q: To what degree can a person's age be accurately determined from images alone?

IsziThis question has generated a good bit of discussion and controversy recently, mostly centered around the original context in which it was placed. After some rather extended discussion in chat, it seems the OP has agreed to a proper overhaul of the question so that it can achieve its original goa...

@Iszi That is massively better than the originally worded question, i'm all for swapping it out for your newly worded question. It would answer all of the things i initially intended for it to do so. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate this :)
@Chris or @MadScientist , i would like to be open to the opportunity of swapping it out. Can you permit this, please?
I'm thinking that since @AMR has wrote an answer on the other question, it should be posted as a new question?
His answer wouldn't be applicable, otherwise.

Would you take an answer about the identification of a horse based on a picture?

Have you posted the question? If yes, could you give us the link to it?
Well, yes. Providing that, the images provided were substantial enough to come to an accurate conclusion. If you take a look at some of the species identification questions on Biology.Stackexchange, you can find plenty of examples. Fish; Toads; Plants etc

That's for species, though. Horse races, I wouldn't necessarily agree that that's on topic

@J.Musser He went MIA, though? Besides, I told him, 'yes'... o_o
@J.Musser And, last time I argued, it didn't go down too well haha (I was being precautionary) :D

@user19679 Hey, I was just pickin on y'all. xD It'd just be nice to give a definitive answer so the user will know their question won't be closed.

@J.Musser I figured :D haha. If he comes back, someone more experienced probably will :)
