Yes
4:30 AM
Today, a user went on tag-creation spree, creating about 20 new tags within a few hours. Examples: [unique], [properties-of-integrals], [aptitude-problem], [odd-numbers], [formulation], [3-d-geometry] (never mind existing [3d]), [modulus] (take your guess: absolute value or modular arithmetics?), etc.
I removed all of these, and pinged the user, pointing out the meta thread on Tag Management.

Q: "(subgroups)" tag, not "(sub-groups)"

dragonI am noticing that the sub-groups tag is created. But it should be spelled subgroups, without a hyphen. I attempted to modify and create a tag with the correct spelling; however I received this notice: Should this tag be changed accordingly?

I see:
@Harish Please stop creating tags in this fashion. I have removed every one of them, as they were either misleading, or redundant, or completely unnecessary. If you are think a new tag is needed, feel free to propose it at Tag Management. — Yes 35 mins ago
@Yes It is good that you have noticed the new tags before more questions have been added to them.
In 24 hours they should be removed from the list of new tags, unless somebody uses them again.
Some context (I removed this tag, too). — Yes 2 mins ago
Maybe it would be reasonable to have this tag as a synonym of , if we do not want to have separate tag for subgroups.

@Yes There are several tags on the main which are quite a mess, but situation with , and is, in my opinion, problematic enough to deserve a separate post on meta.
Even though it was already discussed, it could be worth writing a new posts, since some comments and also creation of the new tags suggest that there are users who disagree with being synonym of .
Since you brough it up here in chat, I will ask: Do you plan make a post on meta about this, @Yes?
(Or is there perhaps somebody else who would volunteer to do this?)
BTW very interesting choice of username. If somebody pings you, it always seems as if they agree with you.

@MartinSleziak I don't participate in those tags, so I'll leave the matter for users who do.

ok
When I have more time, I'll probably make a post on meta.
Unless somebody is faster.
