I'm thinking I'll make a new base and see how quickly I can get things up and running with a diamond worth of EMC and a transmutation tablet

If you still use the transmutation tablet it should be pretty fast

aha, so throwing 8GB of RAM at minecraft was enough to get it to run and load before the heat-death of the universe :D
