UML can perhaps help explain the code, but it can't be reviewed all by itself. A UML-only question should be put on hold as hypothetical or not yet implemented code, until OP edits the question to include the code represented by the relevant parts of the UML. It can be a good alternative to including "supporting code for context" though.

CoreData is not UML.
CoreData is not un implemented.

@Malachi Sweet!

I know have 8 Bronze and 1 silver

@Malachi Do you know if SyntaxHighlight GeSHi (the one from Wikipedia) make their code available somewhere? Perhaps we could borrow some from their VB highlighting (if the license allows) and improve Prettify's...

3:33 PM
that is on the right hand side of the wiki page that I linked to. I don't know much about licenses though

I think GNU is basically like an open-source/creative-commons type of license

right up your alley @Phrancis it's in PHP

I was about to say, it's damn PHP :\

@Phrancis Nope GNU force GNU if you use it I think

we would have to translate it to Javascript so it doesn't matter, it changes the code
so it would be unique code

3:36 PM
@nhgrif that CoreData post looks like some SQL relationship diagram; I still take the picture as "supporting information" and not something that's reviewable all by itself, at least not on this site. If I make a diagram out of my database and want to ask if my model makes sense, I'll ask on DBA.SE.

Yeah. Prettify is Apache 2.0 which is also a very permissive license

I'm no lawyer so I don't know, and software licensing and copy/patent is something I don't want to take care of

@nhgrif then what is this magic
It has the power to be code, database and class diagram all at once, whilst making CR questions on-topic by virtue of existing
how does it work
@Hosch250 not VLQ, NAA.

Well, I flagged as NAA, some else flagged as VLQ.
Check both queues.

4:02 PM
I didn't say it makes CR questions on topic necessarily. I'm on the fence about that, hence the meta. It's a discussion worth having.
But you are right: CoreData is magic

@Unihedro you have some kind of bot for that?

@SimonAndréForsberg Not really, I manually reposted it because we kinda repost stuff like that

Warning: now launching 31 anti-spammer homing missiles...

@Unihedro so you're reposting all this stuff manually?

@SimonAndréForsberg Yeah, because Pham was down. Otherwise, it would had caught and reported and got it flagged in under ten seconds so you wouldn't even get to see it. :D

@Unihedro so Pham is automated?

4:13 PM
meh...
Pham doesn't actually flag
it posts into the LQ-Headquarters
spam from there gets validated and then reposted to the tavern on meta

@SimonAndréForsberg It's just a robot that watches everything and reports LQ stuff.

and these are the guys that nuke it then

We planned for fully automated flagging processes, but evidently we've had people in the past sockpuppeting to ground flags onto lots of posts, so we shouldn't do that, at all

so all the reposting is done manually?

Yeah.

not for tp's on pham

> Which is why every project eventually hates Maven. Maven is a classic contextual tool: it is opinionated, rigid, generic, and dogmatic, which is exactly what is needed at the beginning of a project. Before anything exists, it’s nice for something to impose a structure, and to make it trivial to add behavior via plug-ins and other pre-built niceties. But over time, the project becomes less generic and more like a real, messy project.
