Can I ask if an instrument has ever created in society before? (It appears not, if so does someone mind answering my question)
Q: Has there ever been a pan flute with Fipples? If so what is this called?

So, @NReilingh, sorry, I completely forgot to reply. But just had what might be a bit of a dumb question. (BTW, everybody else feel free to help me out…) I've been getting on okay with teaching myself audio programming, mostly in C, for the past 6 months or so. But, I am just getting to the point where I need a helping hand.
@NReilingh So, "Is it possible to get one-to-one lessons on programming, in the same way us musicians give and take lessons?" And, if so, which of the SE sites might be the best starting point for me getting info about this.

@BobBroadley It's a good question, and I've found myself wondering the same before... I taught myself a number of programming languages like Perl, PHP, and JavaScript; a friend of mine taught me Objective-C when he wanted help with a project, and I had the hardest time becoming more useful with SQL until I was involved with a project where I worked closely with people much more proficient than I.
So I think there are parts of the nature of programming that lend it more towards it being self-taught, but I recognize the exceptions
My approach might be to call up the local university and see if any grad students in Computer Science want to make a few bucks
On SE it's hard to say... Stack Overflow and Code Review could certainly be helpful to you, and maybe Programmers.SE (in chat) for finding a tutor, although I don't know how SE will react to that

Cheers @NReilingh, I appreciate the advice. At the risk of "off-topic-closure" I'll try posting a question on the actual Programmers.SE and see what happens - the worst that happens is that it is closed… I'm not going to try to actually find a tutor this way, just get some views on the approach, and maybe links to ways to find a tutor. And, I like your advice about contacting local universities; I'm in London so I have a lot of unis within an hour's train ride...
