Anyone have recommendations for this season? I don't really have any idea what is coming out at all, and I don't have any plans apart from sequels. As usual, the only real criterion I care about is if the series has lots of cute girls. A little action isn't a problem, but too much is just a waste of time that could be spent on more important things. As for plot, I don't discriminate against series with no plot, but bad/incoherent plot is undesirable.

I guess you could hide the bot that's posting the stuff, then repeatedly press the "show more messages" until you get to the beginning. Each one is 100 messages. Not terribly efficient but it would probably work.

For the gif room, I use a bookmarklet that changes the gifs into links, which makes it less of a pain to load. Hiding users is also useful.

Anyway it's pretty clear that it's around 52k messages.

Also, I don't see any easy way to discover that room. Feed activity doesn't count towards bumping the room on the active rooms list, so the only way someone would see it at all is if they went to chat from Anime SE and decided to click on that specific random room.

It would be interesting to see how long it would go without anyone noticing.

We don't have a lot of rooms for this site. So it's pretty hard to miss once you get there.

Initially, I was debating whether to do this on chat.SO or chat.SE.

Chat SE has some strange bugs that would probably have been interesting to test.

For example, it's possible to create a room on Chat SE that will never freeze or be deleted. The bug is site-dependent and doesn't work on SO or MSO chat.

Anyone know of a way to gain access to edx-cs169-1x.stackexchange.com and cs50.stackexchange.com? I've tried most of the methods I can think of, to no avail. I've also tried to figure out the pattern for the keys, but it just seems to be a random hex number.

It's probably like 30-40 hours of lectures. I suspect that would be the brunt of the time. I don't think it would take more than 50 hours total.

(of course, if they let me skip the lectures, that would make things faster).

but if you know the stuff, the lectures should be skipable

I wouldn't actually take the class anyway. At the end of the day, the only thing I care about is the SE site.

What worries me is that I know that some of the resources require you to take the certified version which costs $350. I don't want to pay that.

I can probably manage to convince my department that I don't know how to program, and maybe get reimbursed for it. But if I do that, I'd be somewhat bound to actually taking the course.

Anyway maybe I'll try that route, but I still want to figure out how to break in if possible.

@LoganM the private beta page could just apart of the original system redirecting you because you don't have access, making a site a private beta and manual adding those into the commit group could be how the current system could create restricted SE sites
