It seems that network contains question where the word network is used in various meanings.

There is a notion of network in general topology, which is similar to the notion of base. However, this notion does not seem to be important enough to have a separate tag. (And I doubt that some of the questions tagged network is about this notion. However, we did have some questions about network in general topology..

Some questions curently having network tag are about Bayesian networks.

Some questions seem to be related to neural networks.

In this question the word network is used in the computer/internet sense. I suppose a few more such questions could be found.

My impression is that most frequently questions in this tag are about graph theory. I am not graph-theorist myself. Quick look at Wikipedia suggests that the work network is used for flow networks in graph theory. But there might be some other meanings of network in graph theory - maybe someone who knows more about this could tell.

If this was then intended meaning of this tag, then the two tags could be synonymized. (And questions from other areas could be removed from the tag.) But I would definitely like to hear from someone with good knowledge of graph theory before deciding what to do with that tag.

I think that the tags quadratics and quadratic-equation should be synonyms. I have mentioned this in main chatroom.
