@MDMarra It's an issue. But you'll notice in the paper that in order to recover a key, they basically ran GPG with specially crafted ciphertext continuously for an hour. This is not a typical use case. So while it's something that should be fixed (and I understand a patch already exists for GPG and possibly other software, it's not something to panic over.
