If you want help, ask on the main site

troll -.-

@Manukumar Just a note, the above is an official warning. Do not invite random people into a room unsolicited. If you've had a discussion with them in another room or on the main site and you wish to continue, it is OK, but please do not invite arbitrary people, otherwise your chat privileges will be temporarily revoked.

@braiam hello

I have never talked with him before. And I have no idea what drupal is. I'm a member of Ask Ubuntu...

okay sorry for that.. i am a newbe here

12:13 PM
@Alvar Heh. I know what drupal is, and have used OpenAtrium (a derivative of drupal), but am not familiar with the system.

@ManishEarth I develop in PHP on my spare time but that's it. I just know the basics of PHP.

same here, I do some open source PHP dev but not much. JS/Python for me

@Manukumar listen to the moderators. If you have a question ask it on the main site. That's where you will get help. The chat room is just a social way to talk about Drupal and other stuff.
@ManishEarth Cya, I'm gonna go back to AU and AU chat room! :P

Have fun!

12:40 PM
@ Ajit S hi

@Manukumar hi

thanks for answering my quesion reg the token menu

@Manukumar No problem. I was just here, as I was surprised to see people around
it rarely happens

i selected "node from context option" and from token what i need to select?

@Manukumar just be sure not to spam the chat room by randomly inviting anyone as it is very annoying.

12:43 PM
uid or user?

Hi all. I have dumb question I don't even know how to bite. Is there a way to know, in form submit handler, if the field got disabled with states, custom JS or any other client-side means? Do you have any idea? $form_state seems not to give that to me.

can u send me step by step process to get the links updated dynamically for the logged in users
@ Ajit S kumar

@Mołot I don't think there is definite way to find this out. You can identify if its coming from form #states though..
by checking in $form if '#states' is set

@AjitS well I could replicate the same logic I give to states inside my form submit, but I can't see nay other way. Anyway, sadly, most of the time that's not really what I need as it's a custom script that handles it. But it reacts to user's behavior. Is adding hidden checkboxes the only way to do it?

@Mołot I am afraid it is the only way. I am not completely sure about this though.
@Manukumar Please refer the documentation here : drupal.org/documentation/modules/token

12:52 PM
@AjitS Thanks, at leas you confirmed that my inability to think of a method is not a case of being mind-blind

1:04 PM
OK, so I asked it as a regular question drupal.stackexchange.com/q/95320/16495
