@Robusto Thanks for the link; I especially like the juxtaposition of "coffee lovers" as "Keurig users." And couched as "freedom" from the oppressive Keurig. Meh. This is the same as any other system: You "buy in" for the convenience; but to expect a manufacturer to provide a level playing field for competitors is beyond reason.
