I posted this question at Software Recommendations, and thought it might interest GIS people as well.
I am looking for a basic library that would quickly tell me in what country is a latitude,longitude, just by checking whether it is within a particular area (countries borders).
Sounds simple but nobody has found any software for this yet... so if anyone know a solution it would be very welcome :-)
