6:00 PM
It's planning.
whatever is a single word.

sorry. i didn't get that

Hallo!

@Iplodman hi

What are you guys up to?

JudeNiroshan wants some help on his profile page on LinkedIn.

6:02 PM
@Iplodman reviewing my LinkedIn profile. Appreciate if you can give some view on it

Good luck with it!
Sure, although I'm not sure how much help I'll be!

I'm sure you can help a bit (or more than just a bit): lk.linkedin.com/pub/jude-niroshan/86/930/926.
@JudeNiroshan Which one?

> My primary goal is to gain the knowledge and mix it with my experience and make a productive output.
Might I suggest:
> "My primary goal is to gain knowledge and mix it with my experience for productive output."

6:05 PM
wow... that implies alot than mine (y)

"what ever" sounds a little slang-y to me, too.
Most of it's great though!

err... well. I'm not much good in english. Many thanks if you could help me to make it more professional

@Iplodman nods -- Just some minor spellings and articles.
(English articles are really tricky!)

> I am passionate about learning new technologies which make the development and management of software faster and easier. I love to work hard and achieve the target goal before the deadlines.
Programming is something I enjoy very much when code is well-organized, and so I prefer planning well before going too deeply into the code.

Be it Java, C++, python, or any other language, I can adjust to the system and work on that platform.
English is difficult!
That's my somewhat nit-picky version, it's just a few changes c:
You convinced me though, I'd hire you! ;P

6:11 PM
@Iplodman xD xD xD.... Thanks a lot sir

No problem, I hope it helped! :)

Oh, I think I would write Python. (I'm being a little nit-picky now!)

Oh, yes, I missed that one. Yeah, that should be capitalized ;P

by the way, i see; there is something called volunteering experience
do you guys know anything that i can get involve online ?
i'm a very busy with my college studies and my office work. But i like to join to something like that and help others
any place to join ?

Same here, I'm young and it's difficult to get a job. I'd love to help with some companies online.

6:16 PM
so, what you have found so far?

Nothing :(

@Iplodman Though it's not a real job, open-source projects could give you such experience.

^
Good idea!

6:34 PM
@Dam :-) !

@Jim :P !

Communication is a fascinating thing.

I think we did well in that question.
:-)

Good exchange.

Nah, I'm good. You're great!

6:37 PM
Er, how about on the Thai language SE? :-)

Hmm... I think we had two proposals, both failed.

It's good to share ideas and thoughts.

(Not sure about the last one on Area 51.)
nods
Oh, that reminds me about a question I wanted to ask you.
Had you ever learned a second language before you took GRE?

I meant, how would our "ratings" compare in a Thai-language arena?!
Very rudimentary Spanish.

@JimReynolds Eh?
@JimReynolds Ahh... I see.
I have a theory that learning grammar in a second language also helps.

6:41 PM
My point is, we can't really call ourselves good vs great in an English forum!!

Oh, I see. I just meant only in that question.

Still ...
Well, I don't disagree. But I have much to say.

I'm listening.

After all, grammar is the rules for how to use a language!

I suppose we can say that.

6:44 PM
But you, MAR, snail ... have particular kinds of minds, for one.

I think we can say that, too.

You enjoy analyzing and processing, and discussing complex systems.

Probably true.

Do you drive? Car, scooter, bicycle?

Not scooter!

6:47 PM
Motorcycle.
Oh. Car and bicycle.

I'm thinking... maybe your metaphor for language learning is driving something. :-)

The world's best bicyclist may know nothing about classical physics.

Oh, sure.

So with language.
So too with language.
Of course it can help.

I think I know (though not very precisely) where you're getting at. FYI My metaphor for language learning is sports. snailboat's metaphor for language learning is music (I think).

6:52 PM
Yes. I think that we ourselves often don't know how we come to develop a skill.
Like I said earlier ... You've been talking about English and grammar in English!

Yes!
I also use English in the process!

What if you had spent the same amount of time talking (with interest and pleasure) about sports?
With people you like?

The problem is what you see is not the whole picture.

Educate me.

I think the metaphors snailboat and I use could give you some ideas.
Actually your idea and ours aren't that different.

6:56 PM
Wait. It's 3am here.

Because I know more about my metaphor, I'll try to focus only on it.
Ah, it's okay. We can talk about it later.

Yes. I look forward to it.

It was a nice exchange indeed.

Yay!

Have a good sleep!

2 hours later…
9:19 PM

Wow, that's the longest average days network-wide!
Hello, @kitty!

Hello back world!

Welcome back!

@kitty we were wondering if you are a male or female.
@DamkerngT. I wonder who else had their leg, pulled by the egg. (I should try being a rapper)

Dunno!
I'm thinking maybe each of us just plays the game alone.
(It's unclear if the stats are real or fake.)

Who cares, what SE spares?

9:23 PM
:D
@MARamezani Apparently, some users on at least 65 stacks care!

You can see me whenever I log in the chatroom?

Usually, but not instantly.

thank you

Welcome!

Most of whom, go boom, after realizing all this was a ___.
I didn't find a word, for the last chord.
This was harder, than I could muster!

9:29 PM
How about a tomb?

you know I was thinking how to attach a photo of mine secretly in this chatroom, but then I gave up the idea doing this
some of you would be in a big shock on seeing my photo
^0^

@DamkerngT. Hmm, hmm.

so now, we need to talk about our plan

@kitty You can scale your photo down to 4x4, put it on a white background, and use it as your avatar. :-)

@kitty What? You're a real cat, in the ELL chat?
Seems fun, to use rhymed pun.

9:31 PM
In a hat, but not fat, just being a cat.

What is a real cat?
???????

Cat in a chat!

Feels fun, using rhymed pun.

Oh, I just missed X-Men. (I tried to record it for the dialogue.)

The OP of X-Men?
The music is good

9:34 PM
Two O'clock in here, freaking out in sheer.

The OP?

@kitty We meant you, who went mew.

I guessed you were talking about the opening song of X-Men.

@MARamezani Don't sneer, or smear. Here is some beer!
@kitty Oh, I meant the dialogues in the movie.
Sorry for not being clear.

Oh I see. Thanks
I spent some time on Youtube almost every day

9:35 PM
Now thinking about a rhythmic salutation, which would avoid speculation

@kitty Nice!

Is it 2:00 am now in your place?

It's way beyond that!

hmmm

I just took a shower. I'm waiting for my hair dry and then will go to bed.

9:38 PM
@kitty Yes, god bless!
@DamkerngT. I take, a cake, it's four, you for?

Yep, four, and forty.
I think I just clicked the wrong button and it's too late to undo it!
sad
I think I'd better go to bed.
See y'all later!

@DamkerngT. Unsleep button you pressed, that made you depressed?

Good rhyme!

I think I'll sleep too, so whoohoo.
I'd say bye, but am too shy....
