@CuriousOne Hmmmm ... I'm pretty sure the proper US based funding agency to apply to for funds for a galactic accelerator is DoE rather than NSF. They generally have more money for particle physics than NSF who has to spread their budget over more fields.

anyways, bourbaki is perfect for math, if you're not interested in PDEs, differential geometry, or much of standard functional analysis (e.g. analysis of linear operators)

Math is $\Bbb{fun}^{over\;9000}$, and if you don't believe me, think of it: Most, if not all games use math. Unreal Engine uses math so if you hate math but you like the UT games, I don't know you'll be capable even then of doing something useful in Unreal Editor since it uses math $often^2$.

Might you have been looking for the Game Development chatroom with that message? :P

Also, text in TeX should be formatted with \text, the "often" just looks horrible.

Stuff aside, I'm trying to do a formula that converts a normalized vector into a pitch+yaw+roll rotator without complicated quaternion stuff.

Think: you could rotate a object to math any surface's normal just by passing that normal through the formula! No more messing with quaternions! Yay :D

also, I did at first glance think this was a Mathematica channel, so I'm sorry. :(
