AncientSwordRage has unfrozen this room.

Howard The Duck is the greatest character to be portrayed in comic books, nay, any medium.

Q: What is the reason behind the superhero righteousness of beating people silly?

TivepMost of the superheros from comics (and now their movies) believe very strongly that they mustn't kill. They all believe in it so strongly that they go to any extent to prove that to the antagonist (who mostly believes killing is alright). for eg: the more recent tv series involving Daredevil an...

Hey @ToddWilcox What're you reading?

Comics wise, nothing at all.
I'm sort of accidentally here. There was a comics recommendation event listed on the side and I clicked on it and it came here, but no one else was here. :(
I was thinking maybe I could get recommendations rather than give them.

@ToddWilcox what're you into?
@Politank-Z Might be able to help

Well... I loved Sandman.
And the Deaths of course.

@ToddWilcox that's not really my area of expertise
Every read watchmen?

Oh yeah. I'm a phillistine - I preferred the movie.
I'm not actually a big comics reader so I thought I would lurk and watch other people talk about them and see if there were something I should check out.

@ToddWilcox I'd look into DC's Lucifer. The TV show isn't bad either.
Kingdom Come is essential reading.

8:18 PM
I remember when Kingdom Come came out.
Is Lucifer tied into the Gaiman Sandman universe?

I think so.

That sounds interesting then.
He was a really good characer in Sandman.

I am not deeply familiar there. I like what I've read. Lucifer deals less (if at all) with The Endless, more with Judaeo-Christian lore.

Well if you like the DC-Vertigo style stuff, Sandman is legendary.
It's like ten TPs worth but it's so good.

Yeah, I've read some. In the fullness of time, I will likely get to it.

8:24 PM
OMG gotta run. THanks!

8:55 PM
@Politank-Z Thanks

9:10 PM
@AncientSwordRage Sure!
