Q: Why is "Make Up" the transformation keyword used by the Sailor Senshi?

It's always seemed a bit odd to me. The best explanation I can think of is that it's a reference to makeup, which is itself (sort of) transformational. Just wondered if this is something Takeuchi ever explained somewhere.

I like it more than most other things from that time period (2001-2003), but it has some 90s scifi elements that would honestly have been better just not being done at all.

I prefer the manga though, if only because the ending actually makes sense, unlike Gainax's bizarre ending.

Let me rephrase: the manga ending kind-of makes sense. If you pay attention to everything and fit together all the pieces, you'll mostly know what happened, though there are still things that aren't explained. In contrast, the entire last episode of the anime is little better than reading James Joyce.

That said, if you like Mahoromatic, you should really do both the anime and the manga. There are at least a half-dozen manga chapters that didn't make it into the anime, and the anime has quite a few original stories that you'd miss if you only read the manga.

Generally I picked every image of cute girls I saw, regardless of atmosphere, and for about 4 months (from January to April) I was watching every new image that appeared on Pixiv. What @Karasu has should be a fairly statistically representative sample of that.

Dammit, Danbooru, you were doing so well...

The last couple of days, every time I visited Danbooru, the front page had no nude pics. A few risque, but no nudes.

Of course today...

@ShinobuOshino As has always been the case, zerochan, sankaku channel, e-shuushuu, and a lot of other image boards don't allow hotlinking. You have to download it and re-upload it or use the share links.

You have to take all the images and upload them somewhere. Then make thumbnails (or else we'll break ppl's bandwidth) and upload them too. Both of those links have to be stable. Then you have to generate a pastebin with the urls of all the images and give that to the bot.

The actual uploading took less than 2 hours for the first 1000 of them, and I did it on Google Drive, which automates it.

The majority of the work is in finding the images in the first place.

finding means searching image that will be uploaded

Also, if you're going to be getting your own images, you probably want to dupe-check them against mine. Which would be a real pain.

I spent a lot of time pruning dupes with various software.

Generally, I added something like 1000 images at a time, which typically took under an hour.

so in total, for the whole lot, just under a day.

But like I said, downloading was the biggest time sink. That was easily several hundred hours to get that many.

There's definitely faster ways to download images. I did a lot of my downloading on Pixiv, Sankaku Channel, and Danbooru. But in retrospect it would be more efficient to browse e-shuushuu, yande.re, and konachan.

I tried to not get anything that would be problematic. But at the end of the day I was spending maybe 5 seconds per image. So it's easy to miss one or two.

During the downloading stage, I was only removing the ones that were very clearly NSFW. But before I uploaded I pruned them again to find anything bad. That was mostly successful.

But I have to admit that I don't have any clue what other people think is NSFW. Generally I avoid nudity or anything with underwear clearly visible, but beyond that I kind of have to guess.

Even with a full moon, the sun is around half a million times brighter.

It's just that human eyes adjust to a wide range of intensities of light, so it doesn't seem that dark. But it really is quite a bit darker.

I think it also depend on atmosphere? I never see any day picture on moon

Honestly, if you've spent enough time outdoors away from civilization, you can see relatively well even by starlight.
