@PolyGeo Nah, can't possibly have been me...:) I'm hoping that (if I can find the time to do it properly), this is the sort of thing that could spur certain aunts and uncles to dig out those dusty boxes of papers and heirlooms, as that's apparently quite a daunting task.

@AndyW I've found that while thinking spatially and chronologically to prepare Family HiStory Maps that it has focussed me on missing records (that I look harder for) and some poorly fitting records that I have then gone looking for how to explain.
