Since I recently took a webinar at Family Search on keeping a research log, and David Dilts challenged us all to keep a log for six months to see how it would improve our research, I've been logging all my work today.
I didn't quite follow instructions, because he said not to go over our old research, just to log the new research. But because of the nature of the problem I'm doing now -- logging electoral rolls and directory entries -- it made more sense to do a review of prior research first.
So I am filling out a Source Record Checklist for my focus person, and logging the research questions that I think of along the way. Since I was looking over my prior research, it made sense to inventory what I already had as I was doing the review.
