Who is that stupid Poena that seems like hating all people that do not march to her tune?

1 hour later…
8:11 AM
Poena?..
ah, I see comment on Zerif thread at tavern

2 hours later…
10:32 AM
yeh that one. I think she is something in the wordpress foundation

hm? doesn't seem like it, foundation is barely anyone, just Matt and lawyers pretty much

11:22 AM
there's only 1 lawyer fulltime at Automattic I doubt there's a horde of them at the Foundation, lawyers are expensive and Matts tries to avoid redundancies
the blog indicates there's only 4 people, including Matt
of which I'm sure 1 has left the WP community since

11:34 AM
lol she speaks which such conviction I was always sure whe is "someone"

12:18 PM
maybe she's just in character?
> In Roman mythology, Poena (also Poine) is the spirit of punishment and the attendant of punishment to Nemesis, the goddess of divine retribution.

1:10 PM
yeh maybe some "fake" user and I fell for it

seems to be quite real person profiles.wordpress.org/poena you seem to be overreacting to her comment though

3:32 PM
I'm thinking of writing up a blog post on structureless or unstructured code in plugins and themes
specifically, things just sort of dangling in the global namespace and requiring singletons so that things can be reached
I was thinking of coining the terms dangling hooks/filters to represent stuff that's just hooked into WP out of a file in the global namespace
rather than being hooked up in a controlled way inside a function of class method
thoughts?

3:46 PM
I think unstructured hooks are often rolled into “callback hell” term

4:16 PM
overreacting is my third name ;)
but the tavern is a pointless place in which all you can do is rant, I don't give much thinking about what impact there might be to what I say there

4:40 PM
it's not much a place for discussion, but it's not meant to be. as news source it's quite fine (though I stick with only Sarah's reporting myself).

5:08 PM
So... client hires me for $$$$ to find out why comments are not saved to the correct post. I suspected it is a matter of a missing wp_reset_query() somewhere. Looks like I was right. It was actually me who forgot to add it to a custom post query I added for like months ago.
That is funny.
