Still no documentation on the build process on wordpress.org :( at least not one that is easy to find.....

Anyone here has an idea what JS and CSS minifiers are used in the build process, or just a recommendation of a good and supported tools

I don't care right now about anything that tries to have the max "compression", getting rid of spaces and remarks will be good enough for me at this stage

and tools in this context mean a script that can be run as part of a build process, not a plugin.

I'm going to direct users in comments to the area51 proposal for Woo when closing Woo questions

I am on the fence between "let's make this happen if woo is interested" and "let's make this happen regardless of what woo thinks about it" so far :)

If Woo don't at the very least spread the news there's a good chance most potential Woo people will be totally unawares and the proposal will never graduate past beta

Not sure if anyone could benefit from the question I asked on S.O. yesterday, but I learned something new. Combine Multiple MySQL Queries on the Same Table Into One -- I'm sure there could be an easier way to accomplish the desired result. This solution exactly answers my question.
