It's a good catch- I tested with W3C, and it's invalid. I then reassembled them to <head> - hope it's fine now. :)

Today I had the weirdest theme issue I ever seen: WordPress simply refuse to consider template hierarchy and always load index.php for all queries. After two hours of debugging with no result, I give up, take a coffee pause, then come back to PC. Issue vanished. :O
