i'll see if there's an SE meta on per site competitions

@Pops do you know if SE would do anything like this? support a comp with some swag?

one comp after six years doesn't seem too demanding

Q: Does Stack Exchange have a policy about supporting sites' occasional competitions by providing swag for prizes or otherwise?

hippietrailOver on the Travel site I just came up with what I think is a great little idea for a site competition. But before I announce it on meta over there I wondered if Stack Exchange already has some policy or whatever of supporting contests on sites. It surely must have come up before but I haven't ...

Q: How can I "reset" or 'restart" the Windows 10 Simplified Chinese IME when the 英/中 stops responding?

hippietrailIn Windows 10's Chinese IMEs there is a clickable icon in the lower right of the screen between the touch keyboard icon and the keyboard layout icon that displays 英 when you're in English input mode and 中 when you're in Chinese input mode. To switch between modes you either click this icon or ...

Thanks for the edits @Relaxed :)

@hippietrail I thought someone had posted that question to TSE. I was like "Man, these off topic questions are getting out of line." Also, nice convertible :)

6:50 AM
@Fiksdal: Hehe thanks but not my convertible. I had one in the US in 1990/91 don't think any digitized photos
i'll try to stop now

7:09 AM
@hippietrail I realize that, but you can always pretend, right?

7:38 AM
@hippietrail Yes, that's cool!
So I saw a close vote on How to safely use password-protected websites on internet cafe computers. I was curious to see what the proposed dupe was. Turns out it's How can you protect a fragile object like bottle of champagne in your baggage against breaking?. LOL :) Keep in mind that this is not just a flag. It's an actual close-vote by a >3k user :)

7:57 AM
@JohanGronberg No problem, thanks for your answers!
Got me thinking about Northern Lights again...

8:19 AM
@Fiksdal: goodness me. maybe they were drunk and clicked on the wrong thing

We've all been there ;)

@MarkMayo, speak for yourself, I never have been drunk. (I never had that excuse when I hit the wrong button.)

8:36 AM
@hippietrail Drunk off Champagne maybe?
@ZachLipton The Blitz issue is thoroughly dealt with now: travel.stackexchange.com/users/51603/blitzavi

What is the gold screen in front of the woman's face (probably not a batula) called, and in which countries (especially ones that allow tourists) can I see it? (Image screenshotted from twitter.com/IHWCo/status/777668280660000768 )
Seriously, that bling is worthy of Chamillionaire.
@hippietrail probably wheelchair and stroller accessible too.

@AndrewGrimm, I would say one of those ridicously restricting things that make women a thing rather than a person when on the streets. Kudos for her to skateboard but I doubt she can do that in normal life in an area where such restrictive clothing is the rule.
In short 'movable prison screen'.

Nice
"headcuffs"
or "facecuffs"

gsamaras has asked some unusual questions, but this has to be one of the more "why would you need to ask this" ones

Q: Flying on the 2nd floor of the airplane

gsamarasSo I will go to the check-in in an hour. My seat is on the 2nd floor of a 380 of Air France, is there I need to know? Or is just the same damn thing as flying on the 1st floor? PS - For some reason, I am exited, since this will be my 1st time! :D

9:04 PM
@MarkMayo It looks like you have started a lot of bounties on this question! All without even getting a single answer! Am I reading this right? How much have you spent in total?

3 hours later…
11:40 PM
@Fiksdal I'm just hoping to attract attention to older questions :)

Yeah, it's pretty cool
I was unsure how to read it, though. Did you post like three bounties in a row on that one?

yeah, just kept upping them

@MarkMayo Hopefully it will attract an answer eventually :)
