one of my friends did his phd in stats - for NZ Cricket (a project for them)

and got invited to speak at a conference in a country to promote cricket there

anyway, in non-cricketing terms, today's match lasted 9ish hours, and it came down to the final minute to decide it. Amazing stuff, and NZ is through to the world cup final on Sunday :D
