@MarkMayo Thanks for the heads up, but I know Sweet Fanny Adams about Israeli rules. The UK doesn't give a toss where you can go on an expired visa if it's not a UK visa. Now if that couple were trying to get in here, then they would be totally stuffed.

@MarkMayo You could go in to business giving some particular nationals a swipe card that pulls up if they need a transit visa and how many laptops they can carry as personal imports.
