@hippietrail yeah the new Win 8 (and frankly Office 2003 onwards with the ribbon) make me feel like a newbie every time trying to use it. Win 9 is meant to bring back the start button, but we'll see
@Relaxed probably from France down into Spain
there's a route that's about 760km

3 hours later…
6:11 AM
@menotalk you never get lost, but you drive twice the time you need to get there since you lost overview ;)

3 hours later…
9:13 AM
@MarkMayo I thought there was no Win 9, Win 10 will be next
this is why

:)
again a reason to stay away from MS stuff ;)

lol
hope you are not serious

9:45 AM
@MarkMayo I think 760 km is the distance to Roncevaux/Roncevalles, on the border
If you want to do one of the classic routes through France, you probably need a bit more than 40 days

10:03 AM
@bernhard I am dead serious

I don't see why a joke is a reason to stay away from M$

Ah I thought it was serious :)

I hope not :p

So the millenium bug must have been a joke either

lol :p

10:15 AM
@markmayo lets start a virtual travelagency
people who can't travel pay other to travel with a go pro and live connection. The people paying decide where the people who do the actual traveling go ;)

make me to start think about ways to misuse that :p

@bernhard as long as you pay the bill and you adhere the general condition that is fine

I'd sent you to McKamey Manor

and ofcourse the general conditions contain a clause on acting according to the law in your prefered destination

Would only have to fly you there

10:23 AM
well it is not that you own the person
you simply state your wishes and if somebody deems fit to fulfill those wishes you are on way to your awesome destination

you are making new rules
smart

Hey it is just an idea, there are no fixed rules yet

I am not sure if there is a market

10:42 AM
Even if it was true, how is that something to hold against MS?
It's just incompetent programming from other people, which is to be expected on any popular platform
If anything, the fact that MS created an ecosystem that attracts so many programmers and make it easier to get started is one of their big strength

No, their big strength is that every computer that you don't assemble yourself will contain windows by default

@relaxed it depends on the environment
Luckily I am working in an environment where developers understand that Windows and Mac machines are simply consumer products
I choose to use a Mac as my "desk"

2 hours later…
12:46 PM
@andra reading this, now I think you are one of those who fight over iphones and androids..
windows is indeed not a consumer OS only..
and regarding windows 10.. universal apps will be something new.. really..
can you imagine how helpful it is to write ONE app that works across all windows 10 versions.. from IOT to wearable devices to mobile phones to ARM devices to PCS and tablets..

3 hours later…
3:22 PM
@Bernhard Yeah but that did not come about completely by chance or mischief…
Consumer products as opposed to what? Servers?
Microsoft had some decent servers (Windows 2000) for example but that's beside the point
It would be more accurate to say that Unix is simply a server OS because that's the easy part…

@Relaxed yeah, I'd quit and go, so if it takes 30 or 50, whatever, wouldn't be an issue
@Bernhard yeah to me it's still 9.
stupid jumpingn umbers
never works well
like Netscape 6. what the hell was that travesty ;)

MarcelMy friends and I had a discussion which American city this is. And what building this is? We need to know the name of the city. See this picture below Can any one tell me which city this so me and my friends can finally go to sleep ?

just spent over an hour on this. tis 2.30am, I must sleep

3:53 PM
@MarkMayo I hear the way across the Massif Central on the Via Podiensis is nice (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GR_65)
I spent the summer helping out at my sister's café, which is somewhere on the way
Many people start in Le Puy
That's 700+ or about 30 days to the border
and then about the same distance along the Camino francés to reach Santiago de Compostella

4:12 PM
after spending one hour at the dentist today, anesthesia decided not to work on my tooth... doctor tried to extract the bloody wisdom tooth but I still feel pain..
so, now the anesthesia is gone, and I have double pain, the original pain and the failed extraction pain..
i am in hellllllllllllllll
will have to go after 3 days to take it out..
meaning i cant do my Toronto trip :/
not the first time i try to go to Canada and something stops me..

1 hour later…
5:33 PM
I had two wisdom teeth removed
Anesthesia worked like a charm, barely felt anythin, impressive
But after that, 3 days of pain

6:06 PM
@MarkMayo There is an answer on the site you linked

@halabi guessed wrong I do like and have both ;)
@MeNoTalk guessed wrong I do like and have both
And I don't fight over this 😉

@relaxed mine was is infected, so anesthesia don't work.. Infection is acidic and anesthesia is base..

7:17 PM
I can't believe how lucky is Western Sydney Wanderers....

7:50 PM
who?

8:40 PM
@Bernhard it is a football team...
was playing with a saudi team.. the Asian league.. apparently Australia is a part of it when it comes to football
and by football I mean soccer..
not the American handball which they call football..
