@GayotFow why did the 'e' question not get closed as a dupe of our canonical?

Q: Standard Visitor Visa refusal grounds V 4.2 (e) (opacity)

fandefeeI applied for UK visa 3 weeks back and today I collected my documents. My application has been refused with following reason: You state that the cost to you personally is 500 (GBP) and that you are employed as xxx and receive a monthly income of yyyy. As evidence of your funds you have ...

I'm not contesting your decision, just interested

@phoog I'm going to accept your answer but, before I do, educate me: can it still be upvoted afterwards, and is there a way I can award k2moo4 a bounty on his?

3:39 PM
@JonathanReez a certain @ZachLipton suggested that the canonical did not cover irregular payments into someone's account. But canonically you would be able to spot that the refusals was predictable from the outset and is canonically addressed in that way by the caoninical. On balance however, we need to be a whole lot more aggressive in marking duplicates in favour of the existing material and let THEM explain how their situation is different.
Also, the OP did not load a scan and we have no way of knowing what he did not disclose. He has, it seems, a penchant for opacity here there and everywhere...
@Dorothy of course an accepted answer can be up voted. It's called 'passive rep'. You can accept @phoog as a very well-written FGITW and award a bounty to the others. I will bounty it after you do if that's permissible. But mine will be an open bounty

4:08 PM
@GayotFow idiot abroad here... how do I award a bounty???
@GayotFow and I accepted phoogs

@Dorothy did you set it?

@Dorothy, each Q that is 24 hour old and older has a 'start a bounty' message and when you click on it you get the option for offering a bounty.
With your own Q you should see a message that a bounty is possible in X hours if it is not yet 24 hours.

@JonathanReez please confirm that you spotted the refusal was predictable
@phoog while I'm here, have you been able to appreciate the metaphor in the term 'funds parking'?
@Dorothy Dorothy, stop being silly. The setting and awarding of a bounty is straight-forward enough once your question becomes eligible. Questions need to bake for a while before the flour rises :)

6:25 PM
@GayotFow of course it was. Game, set and match.

@JonathanReez i don't think you can blame ukvi either; he shoved the refusal down their throats

6:39 PM
@GayotFow, #4 bottle.
Again about 10 cm high, same string and same bottle dimensions as before.
And the same knot.

@Willeke Gorgeous!

:)
reminder of the other three:
I hope to make some more photos soon, with all 4 together.

Next time they will be on show will be 24th of June in Rotterdam, although that is an informal meeting, just a few hours of sitting together, chatting and knotting.

@Willeke you must be very proud!

6:46 PM
I am proud but I also see what I should have done better.
I like your fobs, but you are cheating with those big holes :P

the mandelas were £27 and the lampwork were £12 each. Heavy markup makes it possible

8:53 PM
@JonathanReez as idle curiosity what was it that made the penny drop?

9:15 PM
@GayotFow about the refusal?
or?

yes, how or what went 'click' in your mind, like the penny dropped

at "photocopy"
the UK wants originals, not copies

9:40 PM
@JonathanReez and you got it, right?

@JonathanReez it's not that difficult,no?

not if you've seen 50 Qs like that, no
I just wish people googled before applying...

@JonathanReez Right! LOL, these guys say, HEY I got this great idea, I will borrow a few grand from my uncle. What a clever lad I am!
see you, going afk to watch twin peaks lol

10:00 PM
@GayotFow if only they were clever enough to have this uncle deposit the money over 6 months...
