You may notice that I always link to MTG Salvation. They're usually pretty up to date.

But if you don't have a site like that, the best strategy is to go through the website. magic.wizards.com -> Gameplay -> Rules and Formats

The first Google Search hit for "mtg rules" or "magic rules" (at least for me) also goes to the right place

Yeah. it's mostly that I don't have good lookups when at work

I just keep a single MTG Salvation tab open to the Comprehensive Rules page (or whatever rule I happened to be looking at last)
