I don't know where to ask this, sorry If I am wrong.

@RobinHood I don't know much about how that works. You could try posting on Jewish Life and Learning Meta.

@RobinHood I'll have to get back to you on that. I wasn't around at the time.

Q: The Fanatic Badge

TzviHere on the Jewish Life & Learning site, one can earn the "Fanatic" badge for visiting the site for 100 consecutive days. Is it halachically possible to earn the fanatic badge in the Diaspora?

5:40 AM
@Vram When is the first day of Pesach this year?

@DoubleAA and only for those of you who are actually shomer torah umitzvot
i think sunday

@Vram If you're in NY, the new day starts a 7, which would cause a problem for Shabbos over the summer.

@ShmuelBrill Assuming you daven at a 7pm tarti desatri minyan.
If you daven bezman then it's a piece of cake.

@DoubleAA If candle lighting is at 6:30, Shabbos ends around 7:30. One cannot log on between 7 to 7.

@IsaacMoses Check my question, someone answered. Insane

5:43 AM
only for about 5 weeks tho

@ShmuelBrill that's a small part of the summer

@DoubleAA I didn't calculate, but if it's is in the middle of the summer, it won't help.
@Vram ?

@ShmuelBrill Your part is in the beginning and end of the summer. Most of the time candlelighting is after 730-815
IIRC
CYLOR :)

@DoubleAA if youre an observant jew that is...

@Vram you could ask one even if you're not

5:46 AM
@ShmuelBrill well the Y in CYLOR doesnt really work

@Vram Well there are not religious people who attend orthodox shuls.

Is there any mode present here?

Wow, crowded. Hi, y'all.

@ShmuelBrill Respected# what's wrong in that picture, and It was since last 7 month, how offensive now?, I don't think so, he was well known leader and ideal for the humanity! I don't know about blind media who wrong interpret. He is ideal for me!.
It's response of your last comment!

@IsaacMoses @waf Bravo!!

5:56 AM
@msh210 (in case you're not following: meta.judaism.stackexchange.com/a/914/759)
@ShmuelBrill First day of pesach this year is shabbat

@DoubleAA its def not a monday, wednesday, or friday

@Vram במהרה יבנה בית המקדש maybe it will be

@DoubleAA Fret not: I am.

@msh210 BTW Rabbi Benny Neviim went right over my head would you mind explaining?

@Vram About Jews it is said "hanach lahem l'Yisrael im enam n'viim b'ne n'viim hem" -- "leave those Jews: if they're not prophets, they're descendants of prophets"-- IIRC

6:04 AM
@msh210 Ahh I didn't catch that either

@DoubleAA and @Vram, did y'all get the other rabbi's name?

@IsaacMoses pok chazi

@Vram I got that one :)

@IsaacMoses (if i understood correctly) it flowed with the context a lil better

6:09 AM
@msh210 Thanks! We weren't joking about community-wikifying it or asking for pics, BTW.

@IsaacMoses Is it going out on all your mishloach manot?

@Vram You betcha. Far be it from me to turn down a suggestion from R' Polk.

@IsaacMoses I'll let you know if any of your mishloach manot get recycled then ;)

@Vram It could give a new meaning to "not trusting my kashrut."

6:17 AM
@msh210 :) We're actually going back to food for many this year, though not extravagantly.

What's an easy/cheap way to make round stickers from a PDF?

@msh210 avery.com/avery/en_us/Products/Labels/Addressing-Labels/… is easy and cheap, for some values of "cheap."

@msh210 Can I ask something?

@RobinHood Anything. Well, almost.
@IsaacMoses Thanks.

All said highly offensive? but none answered! Can I know how it would be offensive?

6:26 AM
@RobinHood None answered what?

Why Highly offensive?

@RobinHood I am not allowed to reveal in public information about you that I know only because of my being a moderator. I know what the old gravatar was because, as a moderator, I can look up what the e-mail address associated with your account used to be. So I cannot discuss it in public. If you give me permission to reveal what it was, I think that that would be okay. Do you?

No issue.

@RobinHood You mean it's okay for me to do so? I want to be clear.

yes!
Don't ping! I am here only.
Away!

6:35 AM
@RobinHood All right. Your old gravatar was a picture of Yasser Arafat's face (and keffiyeh). See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasser_Arafat which notes, among other things, that "He was Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), President of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), and leader of the Fatah political party, which he founded". The PLO and Fatah are responsible for the deaths of many Jews. (I'm not sure about the PNA. Maybe them, too.)
(Specifically, each of the PLO and Fatah was responsible for the deaths of many Jews while Arafat was its leader.)

The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) (; ) is a political and paramilitary organization which was created in 1964. It is recognized as the "sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people" by the United Nations and over 100 states with which it holds diplomatic relations, and has enjoyed observer status at the United Nations since 1974. The PLO was considered by the United States and Israel to be a terrorist organization until the Madrid Conference in 1991. In 1993, PLO recognized Israel's right to exist in peace, accepted UN Security Council resolutions 242 and 338, an...

I must get some shut-eye. Good timezone!

He defensed his country, which is not wrong, if someone attacking on you, then you can't sit quite, He just answered to terrorist and organisation like Mossad that you are on the wrong path.
He fight for the sake of GOD, and help the peoples of the Palestine from insane attacked, inequalities, injustice and discrimination.
A person got noble peace prize in 1994. Offensive?
OMG

6:54 AM
@RobinHood if you're looking for a debate i think you're in the wrong place. This room is meant for general discussion regarding J.SE, not politics and the like. I recommend you take a look at the archives to see what is generally considered relevant in this chat room.

Serious I am not in the mood of debate and something else, I am just looking answer of my question. Noticed discrimination behavior here

@RobinHood You got the answer that the vast majority of this community would answer and which thereby becomes its official position. If you don't like it you may leave the community. But further debate and discussion is certainly unnecessary.

And ya one more thing! If you don't have any strong reason then don't blame. next time come with well preparation, because I love peace.

@RobinHood Who is blaming whom? For what? What reasons? Please clarify what you mean. And I can assure that Jews everywhere want peace. It is the final request after each of our thrice daily prayers.

@DoubleAA I also answered to them that they are thinking in wrong context, You (We) should prompt and spread truth.

7:01 AM
@RobinHood I still have no idea what you are talking about.

@HodofHod can you do something with your mod privelages about this highly offensive material?
Its begun such ru**ish!

@RobinHood Your question was answered, both here in chat and in meta. I get that you disagree with this action, and I get why. Your disagreement is noted, but it is overruled by every mod and every community member who's reviewed the action. It's time to move on.

But answered should be satisfaction which is not!

@RobinHood Answered is not satisfaction. Answered is answered. You don't like the answer? So be it. This is the end of the discussion because neither of us is changing our position.

I am not against of any rules of community but it seems power of the community is misuse here.

7:08 AM
@RobinHood You would think that and we would think otherwise. Again, nothing is changing. We just need to drop it.

I, You and We are very well know that there is nothing wrong in the pic!

@RobinHood I will not respond to any further discussion on the matter and I encourage others to do so as well.

Truth has come and falsehood vanished away! and lo falsehood ever bound to vanished

I wonder if any cities besides jerusalem do?
I think I'll ask.

@DoubleAA takeh a good question

@Vram Actually looks like it's pretty nice there.

@DoubleAA not that they have pre-Yehushua walls, but they celebrate as if they do
@IsaacMoses do you think I phrased this comment too harshly? I hope I didnt offend anyone

@Vram Sorry; too tired for witty rejoinder. Gotta step away from the screen. Goodnight.

Q: Walled cities for Purim other than Jerusalem

Double AAThe holiday of Purim is unique in that some locations celebrate it on different days. The rule is: if the city was walled at the time of Joshua's conquest of the Land of Israel then they celebrate on the 15th of Adar, while everyone else celebrates on the 14th of Adar. Are there any cities nowad...

@Vram Shushan was not walled from yehoshua but it celebrates the 15th anyway. it is an exception. see hebrewbooks.org/shas.aspx?mesechta=11&daf=2b&format=pdf towards the bottom
