I still hold the opinion that it would be more beneficial to simply broaden Music.SE's scope, but yes. Either way it'll be nice.

The site was designed to be for asking questions related to the musician's side of music not really the general side. As the scope is defined now almost all questions that are proposed on the fan site would be off topic here.

@StaceyAnne that makes me think of a few times I've ended up going tone deaf on stage
I have a high sensitivity to high frequency sound. A blast of high frequency feedback can knock me in to a 5 to 15 minute time of being almost completely tone deaf
(aside from also potentially causing intense physical pain that at times has literally put me on the floor)

Q: Who decides on what is in scope here?

Proposed Q&A site for music listening enthusiasts, music historians, and members of the music press corps to ask questions regarding (known) interpretations of songs, historical influences of bands, and the music industry (including production) in general

Currently in definition.

It only needs two more questions to be voted to 10.

@JCPedroza I really hope it goes live and is successful. It's not the kind of site I'm interested in at all, but so many people seem to be (based on all the music fan questions we get) that it would be nice to be able to almost bulk load them over there with a starting set of questions :-)
