@DavidCarlisle What did you do?

@JosephWright undocumented features in longtable

@DavidCarlisle :)

9:04 AM
Quack! :)
@DavidCarlisle ooh

9:53 AM
@egreg: this is a very funny moment from a game between Palmeiras and Linense in the 2013 SP Cup. The narrator saw a bird attacking a moth and decided it was worth of narrating the episode!
@DavidCarlisle: astonishing news: I have the TOC for my thesis!

10:08 AM
@DavidCarlisle Isn't this the same as here tex.stackexchange.com/a/203658/2388?

10:27 AM
@PauloCereda Introduction, page 1; conclusions, page 2

@egreg Page 3, please (twoside option). :)

11:25 AM
@PauloCereda Apropos bird: is your green bird :-) expl3 only or LaTeX3 only? And, is it free to use in a LaTeX context or restricted to be a logo of only the LaTeX project?
@PauloCereda Ah, was made for expl3 originally, now I see in a LaTeX news PDF (no hit in html when I g** custom searched on the l-p site)

@PauloCereda Good way to increase the number of pages!

11:41 AM
@StefanKottwitz I have no idea. :) Maybe prod Frank about it. :)
@egreg :D

11:59 AM
@PauloCereda ok :-)

3 hours later…
2:48 PM
@egreg -- please check this one for undoubled backslash. if you think it's a real case of system corruption, please enter it in the meta question as a "latest date". tex.stackexchange.com/a/159710

@barbarabeeton Those are genuine “backslash space”.

@egreg -- thanks. i thought it might be, but wanted to make sure. there are still maybe 100 answers by you with probable corruption before the end of 2013.
(cont'd) using the search string tabular code:" \ " created:201 user:4427

@JosephWright News from the powers? ^^^^^^^

3:08 PM
@barbarabeeton the data query version is more accurate i think as you can search for four spaces. (that could also be restricted to particular users) I must admit I stopped after turning up 7000 cases, see if stackexchange are going to fix it globally

I've just got a new computer which is running Sierra. I'm very confused about the Energy Saver which now has removed separate Sleep vs. Display Sleep sliders. Is there still a way to control them independently?

@DavidCarlisle -- yes, i'm hoping for stackexchange to do something globally -- but i'm not sure you routed out all the problems. the dedoubling also happened after \notag followed directly by the \\ .
@DavidCarlisle -- i'll probably be off-line for about a half hour. my workstation is acting unstable, and i have to shut it down and reboot. that's a (too) long process.

@barbarabeeton yes but doesn't that still end up with \ followed by four spaces (unless it was the last line of a code block?)

@DavidCarlisle -- it should. may be worth spot checking though.

3:55 PM
@egreg I had a quick mail back to say my contact was raising it more widely, but nothing more yet

5 hours later…
8:32 PM
@PauloCereda Goal!

@DavidCarlisle Sounds like a plan

9:34 PM
@JosephWright you failed to mention that despite all the admirable qualities of chardef'ed tokens you've just all but removed all use of them in l3:-)

@DavidCarlisle True, but they are still used in a few places
@DavidCarlisle As we have almost everything using \numexpr ... \relax there is a much smaller 'risk'
@DavidCarlisle It's not just @FrankMittelbach who might wonder if asking me to join the team was the best plan in the world, then ;)

@JosephWright \numexpr13\relax : 4 whole tokens:-)

@DavidCarlisle I know :)

@JosephWright see the comment on the right!

@DavidCarlisle I know :)
@DavidCarlisle I guess the 'trouble' stated with Morten then ...

9:38 PM
@JosephWright Morten sort of came and went during the period I wasn't looking:-)

@DavidCarlisle :)
@DavidCarlisle @FrankMittelbach hasn't let him leave entirely :)
@DavidCarlisle No such luck with me!

2 hours later…
11:33 PM
@JosephWright what's that all about?
