I use pgfplots for most of my plots. Now I need to add a violin plot. Is this possible with pgfplots or any other package?

This question is linked to this one. I want concrete math to be smooth. Following the answer of egreg, I obtain an arithmetic overflow. I think this is due to the 8000dpi specified in the answer. In fact, if I use lower resolution, for example by means of:

I use the cite style authoryear and only for @incollection BibTeX entries it seems the outer braces is not shown, expected: "(author, year)" I see: "author (year)" for these entries.
