Hi. What do you call those round circle-like things in the bootstrap carousel? getbootstrap.com/javascript/#carousel

@SteveDL You need to specify what you mean by KLM. TLA's aren't useful out of context.
@deostroll I call them "dots", but then I'm not the most specific of people.
You could get fancy and call them carousel dots

@JohnGB keystroke-level models!

@SteveDL It doesn't seem like it would be too hart to build. You'd basically just have a MxM matrix where M = number of keys you want to consider, and then you measure the values and input them. A bit tedious, but it's not hard work per se.
alternatively, you could look at some of the JS based typing speed sites, and see what they use.

@JohnGB ah good idea! I suspect they don't really model special characters and mode switches which I'm interested in, but at least that's code to build upon.

@SteveDL it also depends on which keyboard. My physical keyboard is quite different to most, and my mode switches are completely remapped on both my normal keyboard and my notebook keyboard.
So someone typing on a US-English keyboard, will have different results than someone using an International-English keyboard. Still you can probably capture the use case for the majority of lemmings who stick with silly defaults :)

@JohnGB yeah that's why I'm looking for models/algorithms that know about keyboard layouts
I figured I'd just write some code that extracts my users' layout and monitors all their keystrokes on the data I'm interested in, and extrapolate from there
