I am at a loss for what, if anything, should be done about this question:

Q: How can I reward my wife

MargusI have 3.5 month healthy baby girl and my wife and I seem to manage very well. I do not relay on other people and i am quite aware what others are able to do and how much effort goes into something. My wife has exceeded my expectation and I would like to reward her somehow. My problem is that I d...

I think the second comment is valid about it being on topic. However... all I can say is "wow" with regards to the tone of the question itself. It strikes me as intrinsically demeaning, although it may be that a translation issue makes it seem worse than intended.
Does this require any sort of intervention?
@karlbielefeldt Your thoughts on this?

Seeing that the author is from Estonia, I understand that his wording is very strongly influenced from office lingo. So I would not hold that against him, it should certainly not be interpreted as demeaning because I am absolutely certain that's not the authors intention.
The posted answer is hilarious. I'm sorry that the author will probably be put off by it, though.
As for what can or should be done, I believe no further action is necessary because we have probably chased the user away already. For the future, we should probably intervene with heavy editing (rephrasing) and hiding unhelpful answers (such as the present one, funny though it may be).

@TorbenGundtofte-Bruun I was considering whether an edit would be appropriate, changing the focus from "rewarding" to "show my appreciation", but I honestly don't know if that would change the author's intent or not.

I think the present question can't be salvaged without removing all comments and the existing answer. It would then take a complete rephrasing, and I think the author's original intention is clear enough even though he didn't express it well.
I think that, presuming the author isn't gone for good, he would be grateful for a total rewrite that aims at thankfulness and appreciation.

@TorbenGundtofte-Bruun Removing comments and the answer are easy enough.
@TorbenGundtofte-Bruun Okay, I'll work on it now.

Then do, and add a new comment stating that it was fun but not really fun to the author so a restart/rewrite is in the works.
Thanks. I know you're very good at phrasing things - better than I am, though I could provide a half-useful draft if needed.

@TorbenGundtofte-Bruun Done. Please let me know what you think, when you have a chance.

@Beofett - no problem!

@medica Thanks. For what it's worth, you got a +1 from me on the answer before I deleted it... you really nailed it :)

@Beofett - I was a little concerned that it might be a language problem, but I also wondered if it could be trolling, so I went for it.
So, I'm happy for your edit and my deletion. :-)
My Border Collies have trained me well. :D

@medica The OP has a decent reputation on some of the other SE sites, and has posted one other question here that was serious, but closed as off-topic, so trolling seemed unlikely

ah, good then.
better to give the beneift of the doubt, esp. as a mod.

The possibility of a language problem still strikes me as less than 100% certain, especially given the tags that were used and that I am aware that people that think like that actually exist, but I'll remain optimistic, as language problems are more appealing than the alternative

It's amazing, I'll admit. My first response to the question was that I was glad not to be his wife!
Anyway, I just wanted you to know I am absolutely fine with the deletion.

@medica Thanks, I'm glad to hear it. I hate to delete upvoted content, but Torben made some very compelling points, and the question itself was drawing some general concerns and flags
