Just a little note to everybody as I've run across quite a lot of close votes on questions regarding products in public (generally available) beta state: The community is currently leaning towards accepting these kind of questions (I say leaning because the number of votes/voiced opinions is rather small). If you want to join the discussion, the corresponding question on Meta is

Q: Office for Mac 2016 - on or off-topic until release?

TetsujinI imagine we'll be seeing a lot of questions on this over the coming months. Do we have a consensus on whether it would be on or off-topic until then? It doesn't appear to require any NDA, so we wouldn't be breaking any agreements on that front, but it's beta so it might be all 'broken to heck'...

@patrix - it was really that this question - apple.stackexchange.com/questions/178309/… - prompted me to add mine. It was perhaps more to 'see it in print' on SE than because I couldn't have found it on Google;) Having said that, I hadn't looked up the Wikipedia page, ty for the link. Interestingly, it says the first Mac System I ever used, 6.0.6 on an SE30 was never actually released...

Hey @cksum - would you mind explaining why you rolled back my edit?
I'd rather get the important information about business unlocking on that question since it's a bit out of date

@bmike Hi! Could/should the list of canonical Q&As be made community wiki or is your aim to simply list them yourself as more of a ‘published’ list?

@grgarside what would making a meta question into CW do?

8:11 PM
I don't intend to do all the work by any means. edit away if that's your question.
If it becomes popular and maintained, it may well end up CW due to edit count.

@bmike Community wiki encourages editing more than usual (as well as allowing <2k users to edit because there's no suggested edits on meta of course). I guess I'll edit your answer anyway (was going to add the How can I get back a system file after deleting it from my Mac? question to the list). Posts aren't set to community wiki automatically by the number of edits that are made to an answer if that's what you mean by the last sentence?
