@DanV Looks like they are keeping themselves in the race with that one! My only qualms about some of the Allwinner boards is they obviously aren't any more "open" than Broadcom, meaning they may need a special kernel as well, and sometimes this isn't handled in the best way (e.g., there's no public source tree available) -- but this is not necessarily a big deal and it may have different levels of significance to different people.
It's nice to see a slowly, steadily growing, competitive ecosystem here anyway.

do not like .. http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/50307/help-python-full-body-detection-and-license-plate-detection-with-night-vision

Aside from it is not really in scope IF it is a python or code related issue.
He also seems a tad pushy with the ASAP bit.

Given today's truly gigantically epic fail from my neighbours south of the border, this morning's depressed pound may be a useful opportunity for people on currencies not in the toilet to pick up a couple of slightly cheaper Pis.

@goobering @goobering #$@! This was how I was going to cover most of my last order -- UK cash left in my wallet from earlier this year. Was to lazy to go to the bank this week when it was strong because supposedly the referendum would fail, so figured I might as well wait until afterward. Now: 7 year low. >_<

@goldilocks Hang on to it. It'll have souvenir value in about a year. I'm now wondering how this is going to affect the RPi Foundation. As a net exporter they're going to get hit pretty hard. Expectations are for the pound to do some seriously serious tanking in the next year or so.

Maybe I will make that trip to the bank today while it is still worth ~$1.75 CDN...

Not a huge sum involved fortunately. I had it because I flew into Gatwick at 10 pm on a Sunday night and out of Heathrow at 11 am the next day, and rather than seeking shelter figured I could sleep on the plane back and find something interesting to do in the great city of London. You know what there is to do overnight on a Sunday in the great city of London? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The downtown is a graveyard. The much celebrated subway system -- CLOSED after 2am.
Managed to get a bus to Chelsea where after more than an hour walking around shuddering in horror I found somewhere that would actually let me sit down inside and drink coffee. Then that closed at 4am. IMO this makes it one of the most overrated places I've ever been.
Like the nearest big city here (Toronto) is terrible, but only the people who live there try to pretend it is anything but, lol.
