Recently the trigonometric-functions was created. I suggested it as a synonym of trigonometry.

The tag-exceerpt for trigonometry specifically says that this tag is for trigonometric functions.
"Trigonometric functions (both geometric and circular), relationships between lengths and angles in triangles, and other topics relating to measuring triangles." Revision history

I have created tag-excerpt and tag-wiki for private-messages tag on meta.
There is certainly a space for improvements. So if you have some idea, go ahead and edit them.
