@MartinSleziak IMHO, no, since ping could also be used for chat pings, which are decidedly not comment replies. Note, too, that MSE has a (comment-replies) tag, and a (ping) tag (explicitly for chat pings, though it probably isn't restricted for this use, because people).

Q: compute exponential of matrix with wolfram alpha

Emanuele PaoliniI would like to use wolfram alpha to compute matrix exponential. I have tried with the exponential of the identity matrix, with this input: exp({{1,0},{0,1}}) But what I get is unexpected. The input is interpreted correctly, but the result is {{e,1},{1,e}} while, being a diagonal mat...

I am not sure whether we need a new tag exponential. (It must have been introduced not so long ago - it has two questions and it is still in the list of new tags.)
The number of the questions tagged exponential-function+matrices is approximately the same as the number of the questions tagged exponentiation+matrices.

@ArthurFischer Maybe creating a new tag would be a solution. Or maybe we should create more general matrix-functions? Or maybe this should all be under the umbrella of matrix-calculus?
To be honest I am not sure. But I very much doubt that the questions about matrix exponentials are tagged in some uniform way at the moment.
I should have mentioned that the tag matrix-calculus already exists.
Creating matrix-functions was suggested in this answer. (That answer however deals with lots of other things. The tag matrix-equations is also mentioned there, it seems that it was posted around the time this tag was created.)
Do you think matrix exponential is important enough to have tag of its own? Or do you think it would be better to create the tag and immediately made it a synonym of matrix-calculus?
