You can accomplish this through accuracy gems, or what all the cool kids do which is make a permanent overdrive build

I think they have different drop tables, too. I honestly don't know aside from the easy ones

Kind of. There are a few you've probably seen walking around which have a good chance to drop specific types of weapons. A common build is the ether-based Blossom Dance which uses a Long Sword

So you want an Ether based Long Sword

If you want to min-max you basically want 3 gem slots and I don't think you can get that on the vendor stuff

Plus the high level vendor stuff is really expensive

The XX level gems are... really completely absurd and you can get 3 on a piece of gear

Unlike Blade, stats from gems do not appear to be capped.... yeah.

Yeah, as a student I found it to be very nice. My professor recommended it and I use it whenever I write C or C++ code.
