For the Survival Expert trophy, I have to hit level 10 in Survival, which levels up by traveling on foot. I'm on chapter 8 and I'm about halfway from level 5 to 6. It goes up very slowly so I'm curious if there's an estimate on how far I have to run/walk in order to reach level 10.

Well, that's right out as an option then. I have to do it through my TV provider; I can't just pay HBO directly. I am not willing to risk changing anything about my TV plan after spending close to 5 hours on the phone with them and making 2 trips to a mall trying to get TV service last month.

You can get HBO NOW which is a standalone Internet based HBO sub for the same price

Why HBO didn't make that apparent on their site I'll never know.

C) 3 level 46 monsters popped up the first time I completed it, killed me, and I had to do it again

I didn't have high-level monsters pop up at the end, though.

I still haven't actually "died". The one time I let my max HP go to 0 because I was thinking it would be easier to retry this battle than salvage it as it stands now, the game paused when I got there and said "use a recovery item or it's game over" and didn't give me an option not to use a phoenix down on Noctis.

That was the only time I died. Mostly because first it was just one of them, and i was like "Okay", but then 2 more showed up after it was already going badly and for some reason when you warp-attack one at full health you just flat out die (plus all max hp to zero)

I at least tried to murder it. I can't remember. I think I remember killing a snake way easier than it seemed it would be. But I also think I would have only been level 25 there, so that seems unlikely

I didn't try engaging it because I was level ~22 and it said level 54.

I'm now level 32 and the next main quest has a recommended level of 20.

I haven't run into a giant bull.

I think it showed up in chapter whatever-the-one-where-it-rains-is

I'm officially sick of side quests

Yet I don't feel like I can skip them because reasons

The way side quests are done in FFXV is the epitome of bad side quests.

One hunt at a time is the worst

There should be like 2-3 mini-stories that you can do in pieces like the main story.

I didn't even think to try taking more than 1 hunt at a time.

Not sure why.

I feel like about 50% of my time in the game is just holding down the run button while I go back and forth.

@Sterno It's weird because during my time with the game I really haven't had any moments where I thought "wow, this is awesome", but also then it's 3 hours later and I'm still playing and only stop because I have to eat.

I really enjoyed the fact that the second town I got to had a mine in it. I went in and a single skeleton proceeded to murder my entire party

I was like level 2 at thetime

@Sterno seems reasonable, then they can just unload the old bit and load the new bit while you're crawling through the crevice

I find it funny that instead of a paper manual, modern 3DS games comes with a foldout with two lines of instructions on how to access the in-console manual repeated in a dozen languages instead
