Sometimes, I place a sign that is off by one letter. This gets really annoying after you show the world and the realize the missspelling. I am too lazy to type the whole thing again.
I have a lg plasma tv and i play ps3 on it perfectly fine. Im wondering if a ps4 will work fine on it or will it be too powerful for the tv. The tv plays 3x hdmi and is about 4-5 years old
Proposed Q&A site for this site is for discussion on people who program in the programming language "BASIC". An example is the petit computer app for the 3ds and dsi.
I started a new world in survival. I went to gather wood, but when I broke a log in a tree, it flashed then dropped the log after a few seconds. I'm mot lagging and bugs never became an issue for me.
When I receive Steam messages, the shown time that the message was received is inaccurate. It's always 3 hours earlier than I actually received the message. For example, if someone sends me a message at 9:30, Steam will say I got the message at 6:30.
I guess this is because Steam thinks I want t...
@Fluttershy I had an entire meta about how that's a terrible close criteria, because you have to know the answer to be able to VTC it. Are you 100% certain the game never addressed it? Were the other 4 voters? I'm pretty sure @Frank never played it.
@Frank And that kind of "Meh, well, I figured the game probably didn't say, so what the hell, let's vote to close it" is specifically why I think that VTC reason doesn't work.
So, yesterday a dumb question was asked.. It was closed as Not A Real Question in less than an hour, and reopened mere minutes later. This isn't the first time that this has happened. It usually results in lots of arguing and acrimony and generally all comes out of a simple misunderstanding.
The...
I was gonna say something about negatively voted questions not really sticking around, but we've got over a hundred of them, so that's really not a good argument.
@StrixVaria Well, I don't remember specifically why anymore, but @badp seemed pretty firmly in favor of the way things currently are, so I'm not really looking for a mod override anyway
I'm just looking forward to the one that gets closed in which I do have the answer, and it is addressed in-game, and then I can call you all jerks.
I still don't like the idea that you need to know the answer to know whether to close, though, especially for things where an answer could be unknowable.
There was a question today to the tune of "What's the canon explanation for lack of fall damage?" The owner self-deleted, but it was still a :( question.
Not necessarily insta-close worthy, but who knows if they actually explained that?
@StrixVaria In cases like this, I don't see why 'there is no canon explanation' is not an acceptable answer. Somebody who knows one way or the other can answer it as such, and other people don't need to guess with their close votes, because they simply don't need to cast any.
@StrixVaria Our policy on lore is incredibly broad. Entire canon means everything. Not just in-game lore, but everything in the universe. Books, movies, you name it. If it's part of the universe, we apparently accept it.
My mom's staying with us right now but I fear December when she leaves. My wife works 12 hour shifts with an hour commute, so she'll be gone 7am-9pm some days. Often, that will be entire weekends. Which means I'll have solo duty on a 4 month old and a 2.5 year old who doesn't like to share attention.
I've been trying out Manamune on some melee mana-users lately, but I haven't been having a ton of luck as opposed to using other items. Are there some specific champions or situations that would make this item more viable?
I missed the conversation due to being at work, but... @Sterno I'm familiar enough with TLoU to know that it is never explained in-game, or anywhere else. It really is just a poke-the-plot-hole question.
Here's another problem then, assuming all 5 people had your knowledge. Someone asks. We answer by closing, because the answer is "No, it's not addressed". If it had been addressed, the question stays open. The question is closed. The question is deleted. Someone else comes by wondering the same thing. There is now no record of "No, that's not addressed".
One of many reasons I think answerability is a terrible measure of a question's right to remain on the site.
On the slip side, there are probably 4 people in the world bored enough to Google that stupid question, and we probably got the only one who will go that extra step and actually ask it.
I am trying to play Empire: Total War Gold Edition (purchased on the Mac App Store) on two different Macs (one with 10.9.5 and one with 10.8.5) using the Local Multiplayer feature of the game.
Whenever we try to launch a sea battle, we are able to select our ships, and go the battle, where we a...
I have recently been having an issue with logging into the Sims 3. I purchased the game a few weeks ago top find out about this but decided not to worry about it until now. I am able to log into my account fine but then it takes to me a page about setting up a persona. Every time I fill out th...
military airship captain. I bought a little hat and suspenders and a military shirt today at a vintage store. All I need now our some leather shorts and some brown tights. And boots. Awesome boots.
I'm currently trying to work out how to kill my nemesis, who's survived death twice. I nearly got him a third time, but he keeps calling in reinforcements, multiple times. While I've managed to thin the herd, its pretty hard to kill someone with quick life regeneration (and a ton of other buffs) ...
I'm having problem in playing minecraft because after the loading terrain screen, it crashes and sends me this report.

I am currently using the 1.5.2 version, because I honestly do not want to update for a bit longer as well as some of the mods don't go past 1.5. With Having said that minecraft seems to crash after I installed a series of mods which are listed in the report, the reason I am asking is because I ca...
Which, as I'm sure you're going to continue to discover, "not making a mess" is not a possibility.
If I had $1 for all the trash I found within 1 foot of a garbage can, but not in the garbage can because people were too lazy to pick up their stuff and actually place it in the can, I'd be a rich man.
I'm using Xbox One controller with a PC. I'm not big fan of a vibration (rumble) feature, and I always disable it in all games, there such option is available. But still it vibrates every time PC is turning on. Is there any way to diable Xbox One controller vibration completely on a PC?
Proposed Q&A site for developers, professionals and computer scientists and users of parallel programming languages, parallelization and algorithmic methods.
I've made a bounty. But I feel like the question that I've offered the bounty to doesn't have a big enough bounty.
What's the best way to start the Crash Landing modpack?
I mean honestly, who would write a basic walkthrough for 50 reputation?

I know that it should be dropped by Azudor (the second encounter).
But every time after I defeat him, he dropped "Arch Demon Spirit".
What should I do to get it from him?
I played the first Monkey Island more than 20 years ago and I remember that the user interface was showing many verbs/actions (give, open, close, pick up, etc.) to choose from. If I remember well I finished the game without ever using any of those actions and I always right-clicked on objects to ...
I have been thinking of trying Minecraft. I would like to know if Minecraft allows you to play with an isometric, top down view instead of the cumbersome first person view?
I just started playing this game, and just played my first game as Recon sniper. So now I got to level 2 Recon and I received a free Sentinel SR-1 along with other huge bunch of stuff like scanners and cloaking device. But according to wiki, this rifle can only be obtained at level 10. So what ex...
I watched a few high-level runs of some levels, and the players were able to seemingly cling to a wall, then run/fall down the wall very quickly while still cleaning the entire surface. I've found that if I just land on the wall, then falling takes quite a bit of time. If I dash downards, then I ...

I have tried with the chest stuck directly onto the carpenter.
I have tried with peat, stirling and combustion engines.

why were infected still a problem 20 years into the future?

@badp The only way to know is to have played the entire game, and read all the relevant media, that's not something that should be required to cast a close vote.
@StrixVaria In cases like this, I don't see why 'there is no canon explanation' is not an acceptable answer. Somebody who knows one way or the other can answer it as such, and other people don't need to guess with their close votes, because they simply don't need to cast any.
Treasure chests can only spawn on non-boss levels and the chance of finding one is (1+DoraLevel*0.2)%
Dora is the ancient that increases the treasure chest spawn chance, up to +1000% for a total of 11% chance.

@badp 70°C is nothing, my old Radeon 4850 used to run at 90°C, then after a few years it ran even hotter and only throttled or crashed somewhere above 110°C
The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog is a fictional beast in the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It is the antagonist in a major setpiece battle, and makes a similar appearance in Spamalot, a musical inspired by the movie. The iconic status of this skit was important in establishing the viability of the musical.
== In the film ==
In the film, King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table are led to the Cave of Caerbannog by Tim the Enchanter, and find that they must face both the Rabbit and the Black Beast. The Cave of Caerbannog (caer bannog being Welsh for "turreted castle") is the home of...
I'm a bit disappointed at the Humble ebook bundles. Two of the books were okay, but in the end somewhat disappointing, but the third one now (Wingman) is the worst book I've ever read (worse than Chrichton's Timeline, which was my previous worst book). It's so terrible that I'm tempted to read further to see if it can get even more stupid.
Hmm, I have that one too. The only book I have any familiarity with is The Forge of God, which I had read through a few chapters of a physical copy I borrowed from the library but stopped because I was too busy
I think we both already know we disagree on what "proper answer" means here. And we can probably both agree that all 5 people who VTC'd didn't know there wasn't an answer.
This is the text for one of our off-topic close reasons.
However, I feel we've got a pretty serious problem with this close reason. This is popularly interpreted as "If the game (or series) doesn't tell you the answer, then the the question is off-topic."
This is problematic, in my opinion, a...
I can't moderate LoL questions; I can't penetrate their lingo all too well; I don't know really what each question entails; that's okay! We have people who do
