I'm going to wire a secret door lock control switch outside my car so I never lock my keys in it again.

@JasonC or you could just replace the locks with wooden dowels. No lock, no locking keys inside!

Hm I should run a hood release cable to under the car somewhere too in case I lock the keys in AND leave the headlights on. Which... I might have done once or twice.

@IhavenoideawhatI'mdoing actually, there was too much back and forth to be constructive in the comment block. As we discussed, that got moved to the chat where we talked for about two pages. The resolution of that was that you were going to ask your own question where you would fully specify all the particulars so that you felt that no one could move the goal posts on you. I look forward to your new question and the answers that you receive.

I didn't read what Bob had to say or any back and forth between you to, but know Bob is a very fair moderator ... I don't think he'd do anything arbitrarily or with malice to make himself look better. I'm sure whatever was done was within spec. Please do write your new question. Looking forward to seeing it!

I've left a couple of SE sites because of them, namely Movies.SE and SciFi.SE ... love both subjects dearly, but cannot deal with their politics and crap. We see none of it here, thank goodness.

@BobCross There were like 5 comments, most of which was you telling me that "this is becoming an open ended discussion". It was constructive initially, and would have stayed constructive if you just prepared a proper response. I don't consider deleting comments "moving to chat", I just came here to find out what's going on. There was no resolution and there was no question I wanted to ask on the network, you decided that alone.

I wanted you to explain your answer more thoroughly and I still want to know, because at first sight it seems absurd (and it might not be, maybe it's absolutely correct and I'm wrong, it doesn't even matter).

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 I don't doubt Bob's competence or hold grudge, I just feel that the act wasn't fair or necessary. My questions are completely within the scope of one of Bob's answers on the site, so I don't have anything to post. Thank you for your concern, though.

If you're looking for technical answers to specific problems, we've already discussed the best way for you to do that: ask a question where all the issues are laid out so that the answers can be objectively assessed. You won't have to worry about goal post moving or comparing apples and oranges. However, please remember that non constructive comments will continue to be flagged as such.
